    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the solubility, sublimating properties and affinity of dyestuffs by using a specific methine group dyestuff. CONSTITUTION:A sublimation type thermal recording dyestuff shown in formula I is employed. In formula I, R represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a halogen atom and R a substitutes or unsubstituted alkyl group and R is represented by formula II, wherein Y represents a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, a halogenoalkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkenyloxy group, a cycloalkyloxy group, and a halogenoalkyloxy group, Z is alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, aryl group, and halogenoalkyl group, and X is a C1-C5 alkylene group. Accordingly, the solubility of dyestuffs to a resin and a solvent, the sublimating properties of dyestuffs to an image-receiving body from a sheet and affinity to an image-receiving body resin are improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To control sublimable transfer amount of dye, to facilitate gradation recording, and to enhance preservation of record without thermally decomposing during transfer recording by altering energy to be applied to a heat sensitive head at the time of heat transfer by using specific cyan dye. CONSTITUTION:Sublimation speed at the time of transferring relates to mutual action among dye molecules, and to mutual action between dye molecules and ink binder resin. The dye having satisfactory solubility to ink solvent and lower melting point is desired, and the dye having mutual action to the binder resin for ink to be small in the degree not lose preservation stability after a ribbon is manufactured is most desirable. Dye represented by a general formula (I) obtains relatively satisfactory sublimating speed. In the formula, A is alkylcarbonylamino group, formylamino group, alkylaminocarbonyl group, etc., X is hydrogen atom, lower alkyl group, halogen atom, etc., R1, R2 are lower alkyl group, alkoxyalkyl group, halogenoalkyl group, etc., and n is numbers of 0-3.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance heat-resistance, light-resistance, sublimation speed, hue, ribbon stability, and the like, by using an anthraquinone dye of Cyan shown by a specific formula as a dye for sublimation-transfer recording. CONSTITUTION:An anthraquinone dye for sublimation-transfer recording is synthesized by a method in which 1-amino-4-bromoanthraquinone-2-carboxylic acid employed as a raw material is esterified and condensed with anilines. This anthraquinone dye is shown by a formula I (R1 represents lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, aryl, or aralkyl; and R2 represents alkylcarbonyl, alkylcarboxy, alkoxyalkyl, alkoxyalkoxy, hydroxyl, or halogen atom). This dye is mixed with suitable resins, solvents, and the like, whereby a thermal transfer recording ink is prepared.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image of a cyan color having good light resistance without fogging by incorporating a compd. of an anthraquinone system into a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The compd. expressed by formula I is incorporated preferably at 0.1-10pts.wt. into the binder resin. In formula, a benzene nucleus A denotes the same or respectively independently >=1 of an alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, alkoxy group, hydroxyl group, trifluoromethyl group, alkoxyalkoxy group, hydroxylalkyl group, alkylcarbonyl group, alkoxycarbonyl group, alkylcarboxy group, and phenyl group which may be substd. with a halogen atom. The toner which has excellent melt miscibility, is stable in the image density obtd. in continuous copying by repetitive development and has the good fastness to light, etc., of the cyan color is thereby obtd.

CONSTITUTION:An azo dye expressed by formula is used as the dye for the post-dyeing color toner. In formula, an aromatic ring A is a phenyl group which may have substituents, an heterocycle B is a pyridyl group which may have substituents, and R1 and R2 are same or different hydrogen atoms or alkyl groups or allyl groups which may have substituents. The color toner using this dye is obtd. by dyeing a toner resin with the dye expressed by formula and noinonic or anionic dispersant. The color toner has excellent transparency without influence of temp. on the triboelectric characteristics. Picture images of continuous copies obtd. by repetition of development are stable and the copy has good light resistance and rigidity.
