Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain images of a bright cyan color free from fogging by incorporating a specific anthraquinone dye into a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The dye expressed by the formula I is incorporated into the binder resin. This toner compsn. is the dye which has excellent melting miscibility, is stable in the image density obtd. in continuous copying by repetitive developing and has the good right resistant fastness of the cyan color. The production of the color toner by using the dye of this cyan color is executed by incorporating the compd. expressed by the formula I preferably at 0.1 to 10wt.% into the binder resin, by which the color toner is obtd. The images of the bright cyan color having no fogging are obtd. in this way.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a distinct picture image of Magenta color contg. no fog and to improve color fastness of the picture image by incorporating a specified anthraquinone dye into a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:A color toner is obtd. by incorporating pref. 0.1-10pts.wt. compd. expressed by formula I into a binder resin. In formula I, R is an H atom, halogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxy group, alkoxyalkyl group, alkoxyalkoxy group, aralkyl group, alkoxycarbonyl group, or alkyl carboxy group. Thus, a toner compsn. having high miscibility in molten state is obtd. Its practical value is increased because the toner compsn. contains a Magenta dye having high light fastness and provides picture images having a stable image density when it is used for continuous copy in a repetitive development.

In the formula I, R1, R2, R3, and R4 respectively independently denote a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, alkyl group or alkoxy group. The image of a bright yellow color without having the fogging is obtd. and the light resistance thereof is improved when copying is executed by using such compsn.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled novel anthraquione-based coloring matter having specific structure, of large dichromatic ratio, high in durability, highly compatible with liquid crystal, giving adequate color-developing ability even with small amount, suitable for liquid crystal display in watches, etc. CONSTITUTION:For example, a coloring matter of formula I is allowed to react with dimethyl sulfoxide, etc. at 95 deg.C for 6hr followed by discharge into water. The resultant system is subjected to ammonium persulfate followed by filtration, washing with water, drying, etc., thus obtaining the objective coloring matter of formula II (R , R are each 1-20C alkyl) having absorption at wavelength between 700 and 800nm.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance heat-resistance, light-resistance, sublimation speed, hue, ribbon stability, and the like, by using an anthraquinone dye of Cyan shown by a specific formula as a dye for sublimation-transfer recording. CONSTITUTION:An anthraquinone dye for sublimation-transfer recording is synthesized by employing a normal method in which 1,5-dichloro-4,8- dihydroxyanthraquinone as a raw material is condensed with anilines. This anthraquinone dye is shown by a formula I (a benzene nucleus A represents one or more alkyl, alkoxy, hydroxyl, trifluoromethyl, alkoxyalkyl, hydroxyalkyl, carbonyl, carboxy, and phenyl groups, which may be the same or independent). This dye is enhanced in solubility to organic solvent and dispersibility to water and capable of easily preparing a high-density ink.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an image of a sharp yellow color free from fog and good light resistance by incorporating a specified pyridone type dye in a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin contains one of the pyridone type dye represented by formula I in which each of R1 and R2 is H, halogen, alkyl, or alkoxy; and R3 is alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, or aralkyl. The addition amount of said dye is controlled in accordance with the electrostatic chargeability of the binder resin, or those of a colorant and additives auxiliary added, compatibility with the resin, dispersion process, and the like, but in general it is preferred to use the dye in an amount of 0.1-10wt.%.
