    Abstract: Bandwidth selection for communication of random access information. A wireless communication device may use one or more resource block (RB) sets for transmitting random access information on a shared radio frequency (RF) spectrum such as an unlicensed band. In some examples, the maximum transmit power for the wireless communication device may be restricted (e.g., by a regulation). Thus, the wireless communication device may, in some circumstances (e.g., when the wireless communication device is at or near a cell edge), transmit the random access information via multiple RB sets instead of a single RB set in an attempt to access a BS. To this end, the BS may allocate multiple RB sets for a random access transmission by the wireless communication device and monitor each of these RB sets for random access information.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify an overlap in time between at least a first occasion and a second occasion in a slot. In some cases, the first occasion may be semi-persistently scheduled for the UE according to a first configuration associated with a first priority level, and the second occasion may be semi-persistently scheduled for the UE according to a second configuration associated with a second priority level. The UE may apply, based on the identified overlap, a conflict resolution rule to the first occasion and the second occasion based on the first priority level for the first occasion and the second priority level for the second occasion, communicate in the slot using the first occasion, and refrain from communicating in the slot using the second occasion based on applying the conflict resolution rule.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may identify a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure to use for transmitting a downlink signal to a user equipment (UE) on a shared radio frequency spectrum band. The LBT procedure may be a group LBT procedure associated with a first set of contention window durations or an individual listen-before talk procedure associated with a second set of contention window durations. The base station may determine a contention window duration corresponding to the identified LBT procedure, perform the identified LBT procedure using the determined contention window duration, and transmit the downlink signal to the UE based on the performed LBT procedure.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for jointly activating or releasing a plurality of semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations using a single downlink control information (DCI) message. In some implementations, a user equipment (UE) receiving the DCI message can determine, for each SPS configuration, a number of time slots between an end of the received DCI message and a beginning of one or more downlink (DL) data frames based on a first value contained in the DCI message. The UE can determine, for each SPS configuration, a number of time slots between an end of the one or more DL data frames and an instance in time at which the UE is to transmit a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) based on a second value contained in the DCI message. In some instances, the single DCI message can also jointly activate or release a plurality of configured grant (CG) configurations.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently performing and reporting reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements. In particular, the techniques described herein may allow a user equipment (UE) to efficiently identify reference signals on which to perform RSRP measurements (e.g., based on signaling from a base station), identify when to report RSRP measurements (e.g., aperiodically, periodically, or semi-persistently), and identify a channel on which to report RSRP measurements (e.g., a sidelink channel or an uplink channel). In addition, the techniques described herein may also allow a UE to efficiently identify open loop parameters to use to determine an appropriate transmit power for transmitting to another UE over a sidelink.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for reuse one channel access for new radio communications in unlicensed spectrum. A method that may be performed by a first base station (BS) includes occupying a bandwidth, based on a category 4 (CAT4) listen before talk (LBT) procedure on the bandwidth, wherein the CAT4 LBT procedure is based on a first contention window (CW); arranging a category 2 (CAT2) LBT occasion for the bandwidth during a channel occupancy time (COT) for the bandwidth; and receiving an indication that at least a second BS has occupied the bandwidth during the CAT2 LBT occasion.

    Abstract: Autonomous uplink (AUL) for wideband new radio (NR) unlicensed (NR-U) operations is disclosed. For user equipments (UEs) that have been configured for AUL transmissions and have received an activation signal to activate the AUL capabilities, further indications may be used to enable AUL transmissions on AUL transmission opportunities (TxOPs) that overlap the timing of a current TxOP reserved by a serving base station, but that are allocated outside of the resources reserved for the current TxOP. A UE that identifies a desired, next AUL TxOP that overlaps the current base station-initiated TxOP duration, but is allocated for resources outside of the current TxOP resources determines whether it has obtained an enablement indication either directly from the serving base station or implicitly, based on current conditions at the UE. When the UE determines that it has obtained an enabling indication, it may then perform AUL transmissions via the overlapping AUL TxOP.

    Abstract: A UE determines to send a transmission to a first base station on a first unlicensed frequency channel. The UE determines, for one or more attempts of a listen before talk (LBT) protocol, whether each attempt is a failed attempt or a successful attempt. The UE determines that the first unlicensed frequency channel is one of unavailable based on the LBT protocol failing due to a number of failed attempts exceeding for a first threshold number of failed attempts or a duration of failed attempts exceeding a first threshold duration, or available based on the LBT protocol being successful. The UE sends a report to the first base station indicating whether the first unlicensed frequency channel is unavailable or available through a unicast radio resource control (RRC) message or a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE).
