Abstract: The invention relates to method for the production of catalyst containing the elements and the proportions designed by formula VsbmAaDdOx wherein A is one or more Ti, Sn, and Sn is always present, D is one or more Li, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Co, Fe, Cr, Ga, Ni, Zn, Ge, Nb, Zr, Mo, W, Cu, Te, Ta, Se, Bi, Ce, In, As, B, Al and Mn, m having the value of 0.5 to 10, a is bigger that 0 to 10, d has the value of from 0 to 10 and x is determined by the degree of oxidation of the present cations. The method includes the preparation of aqueous suspension of a mixture of burden of initial materials containing compounds of the said elements, which must be included in the final composition of the catalyst. There follows drying and tempering of the mixture to active catalyst. The initial raw material for tin is a solution containing SnO2 x H2O, having a value bigger or equal to 0, and dispersed in tetraalkylammonium hydroxide with the formula (CnH2n+1)4NOH wherein 5 ? n ?1. The suspension produced is driedand the mixture is tempered at maximum tempering temperature of 500 degrees C.

Abstract: A catalyst (I) containing vanadium, antimony and tin in the oxide state is prepared by making an aqueous slurry of a mixture (II) of compounds of the desired elements followed by drying and calcining the mixture to form active catalyst (I). (II) is a solution comprising SnO2.xH2O (where x >= 0) dispersed in a tetraalkyl ammonium hydroxide of formula (CnH2n+14NOH (1). Also claimed is a process for making an alpha , beta -unsaturated mononitrile, preferably acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile by the catalytic reaction in the vapour phase of propane or isobutane with oxygen and ammonia in the presence of a catalyst (I) of formula VSbmAaDdOx (2). The mole ratio of paraffin to NH3 is 2.5-16 and the mole ratio of paraffin to O2 is 1-10. n = 1-5; A = Ti and/or Sn where Sn is always present D = Li, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Co, Fe, Cr, Ga, Ni, Zn, Ge, Nb, Zr, Mo, W, Cu, Te, Ta, Se, Bi, Ce, In, As, B, Al and/or Mn. m = 0.5 - 10; a = 0 - 10; d = 0-10; and x is determined by the oxidation state of the cations present.

Abstract: FIELD: chemical technology, catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of tin-containing vanadium-antimony catalysts useful for catalytic ammoxidation of C3-C5-paraffins or olefins, particularly, to synthesis of catalysts used for ammoxidation of propane or isobutene or propylene or isobutylene to yield corresponding alpha,beta- unsaturated mononitrile, acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile. Invention describes method of synthesis of catalyst containing vanadium, antimony, tin and titanium in oxidized state that involves preparing aqueous suspension of parent substances as a charge containing compounds of elements to be incorporation in final catalyst, drying mixture and its calcination to form active catalyst. The source of charging tin is a solution containing SnO2.xH2O where n >= 0 dispersed in tetraalkylammonium hydroxide defined by the following formula: (C2H2n+1)4NOH where 5 >= n >= 1. Invention describes also method of synthesis of catalyst of definite empirical formula and providing drying carrying out and calcinations up to 500 C and also methods of synthesis of alpha,beta-unsaturated mononitrile in the presence of catalysts synthesized by the above described methods. Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing a catalyst having the elements and the proportions indicated by the following empirical formula: VsbmAaDdOx where A is selected from the elements Ti, Sn, where Sn is always present, D is selected from the elements Li, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Co, Fe, Cr, Ga, Ni, Zn, Ge, Nb, Zr, Mo, W, Cu, Te, Ta, Se, Bi, Ce, In, As, B, Al and Mn, m ranges between 0.5 and 10, a ranges between 0 and 10, d ranges between 0 and 10, x is determined by the oxidation state of the cations present. The process consists of the preparation of an aqueous slurry of a mixture of the source batch materials comprising the compounds of said elements, followed by drying and heat calcining the mixture. The source batch material for tin is a solution comprising SnO2xH2O, wherein x is greater than or equal to 0, dispersed in tetraalkyl ammonium hydroxide defined by the formula (CnH2n+1)4NOH, wherein n is less than or equal to 5 and greater than or equal to 1. The slurry is dried and calcined up to a temperature of over 500°C.
