Abstract: A generating apparatus includes an AC generator (11) having a stator (38) arranged around a rotary shaft (32) and a rotor (35) secured to the rotary shaft (32) and provided with an annular portion surrounding the outer peripheral portion of the stator (38) and a manual rotary driver mechanism including an accelerator (13) and engaging with a gear (33) mounted on the rotary shaft (32) and a rotary driver (12) engaging with the accelerator (13) and operative to drive the rotor (35) of the AC generator (11) to rotate through the accelerator (13) and the gear (33) so as to cause the AC generator (11) to generate electric power when the rotary driver (12) is rotated, wherein the diameter of the gear (33) mounted on the rotary shaft (32) of the AC generator (11) is set to be larger than the diameter of the rotary shaft (32) and smaller than the diameter of the annular portion of the rotor (35).

Abstract: An antenna system is disclosed which has a loop antenna divided into n conductive members at n pairs of divisional points where n is a positive integer not smaller than 2, n feeders connected to the n pairs of divisional points respectively, a signal feeding point, and at least one impedance element. In this case, electrical switching circuits are connected between the n feeders and the impedance element, and an electrical control circuit is connected to the electrical switching circuits for selectively connecting the feeding point to one of the n feeders and at the same time for selectively connecting the impedance element to another of the n feeders, so that the directivity characteristic of the antenna system is variable controlled.

Abstract: An undesired signal canceller for a composite amplitude modulated signal including an undesired signal delayed by a time ?o from a desired signal. This carrier signal is amplitude modulated with a signal formed by delaying the output signal from the detector circuit by the time ?o and the amplitude modulated carrier signal is combined with the composite amplitude modulated signal to cancel the undesired signal therefrom.

Abstract: A variable reactance circuit is composed of a differential amplifier having first and second emitter-coupled transistors, a reactance element, such as a capacitor, connected between the collector and base electrodes of the first transistor, and a control signal source connected to the emitter electrodes of the transistors by which the input impedance of the first transistor is effective as a variable reactance which is changed in accordance with the level of the control signal. Such variable reactance circuit may be used with an oscillator or resonance circuit to constitute a frequency modulator controlled by the control signal source.

Circuit 17 may preferably be biased to turn on and turn off ahead of circuit 16. The clock pulses serve to periodically enable and disable the master bistable stage 1 and the steering gate 3. In the turned off state, transistors 13, 14 are effectively equivalent to base collector diodes with a threshold voltage Vbc. The conduction states of the transistors 5, 6 in the master bistable 1 and of transistors 7, 8 in the slave bistable 2 are periodically altered in dependence of the base potentials existing of steering gate transistors 14, 13.
