    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a videocassette suppressing the generation of powder and vibration by combining a specified tape with a cassette made of polypropylene. CONSTITUTION:This videocassette consists of a cassette and a tape obtd. by forming a magnetic layer on a film obtd. by laminating a polyester compsn. contg. particles on at least one side of a polyester compsn. The ratio of the thickness of the magnetic layer to the average particle diameter of the particles is 0.1-10 and guide post members which come in contact with the running face (nonmagnetic face) of the tape in the cassette are made of a poly-propylene- based compsn.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film useful for a magnetic recording medium excellent in electromagnetic conversion characteristics, traveling characteristics, or the like, by making the film have specific numbers of fine and coarse protrusions with specific diameters on the surface. SOLUTION: This film has 2,000 to 100,000,000/mm2 of fine protrusions with a diameter of =4.5 μm on at least one surface of the film. Among the fine protrusions with a diameter of =5 nm and =20 nm is 2,000-100,000/mm2. Furthermore, it is preferable that the number of the coarse protrusions with a diameter of >=4.5 μm is =70% of the entire arom. rings. For forming the fine protrusions, there is a method, e.g. in which inorg. and/or org. particles are added to the arom. polyamide. A magnetic recording medium is obtd. by providing a magnetic layer to at least one surface of this film.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aromatic polyamide film excellent in output characteristics and traveling durability. SOLUTION: This aromatic polyamide film has 20×104-1×109/mm2 dents having 3-300 nm depth at least on one surface. Preferably, the dents are regulated so that the ratio of the standard deviation of the depths of the dents to the average depth of the dents may be =10 nm heights may be present in 1 mm2 area, and 0-300 coarse protrusions having >=100 nm heights may be present in 100 cm2 area. The magnetic recording medium can be obtained by using the aromatic polyamide film as a nonmagnetic supporter, and the magnetic recording medium can be used in a system having a magneto-resistive reproducing head (an MR head).
