SOLUTION: The polyester composition contains 0.01-3.0 wt.% of a particle having an active hydrogen amount of 2×10-4-1×10-3 mol/g and an average primary particle size of 0.005 μm or more and less than 3.0 μm.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition, especially, a polyester resin composition, having good frictional properties and having improved productivity and dispersedness in spite of containing particles in a high concentration. SOLUTION: This composition is a resin composition containing a resin and 0.01-70 wt.% particles based on a metal oxide, wherein at least the surface of each particle contains 0.001-5 mol%, based on the metal atoms (A) of the metal oxide, metal atoms (B) other than atoms A. It is desirable that the resin is a polyester. It is desirable that the particles are agglomerated silica particles, and the metal atom B is an aluminum atom. In this case, it is desirable that the agglomerated silica particles have a mean primary particle diameter of 5-30 nm and a mean secondary particle diameter of 0.2-20 μm. This composition is used to form, for example, a film or a laminated film containing at least one layer of the film.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compsn. having no coarse particles formed and being excellent in the clip property, wear resistance, electrical characteristics, drillability, fabricability as a metal-clad sheet, and flavoring property, by blending a thermoplastic polyester resin with hydroxyapatite particles having a specified particle dia. in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: A compsn. is obtained by blending 0.001-10 wt.% of hydroxyapatite particles having an average primary particle dia. of 5-200 nm, average secondary particle dia. of 0.1-10 μm, and a relative standard deviation of the secondary particle dia. of 0.95 or less. The hydroxyapatite pref. is such that the compsn. ratio satisfies Ca(PO4)l(OH)m(CO3)nYx [wherein Y is an anionic ion except for phosphoric acid, hydroxyl, and carbonic acid group ions; l is 0.4-0.6; m is 0.1-0.4; n is 0-0.2; x is 0-0.2; 3×l+m+2×n+z×x=2 (z is a valence of the anionic ion Y)]. A good action is obtained especially when n is 0.005-0.2 and/or x is 0.005-0.2. The hydroxyapatite pref. has a heat wt. loss of 2 wt.% or more.
