    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nylon 6 copolymer which controls the formation of white foreign matters without reducing the liquid and solid phase polymerization rate and has affinity to basic dyes. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing a nylon 6 copolymer by polymerizing ε-caprolactam, at least 0.1-3 mol% of a dialkyl ester of at least one kind of dicarboxysulfonate compound is added to the ε-caprolactam and further adding 10-90 mol% of a diamine compound is added to the sulfonate compound, and the fiber is prepared therefrom.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a surface light source for which this light transmission body is used and which has high surface brightness and excellent uniformity by constituting the light transmission body of a transparent plate, the medium of which has a refractive index distribution. CONSTITUTION:The transparent plate having the refractive index distribution is exemplified by a flat plate having the refractive index continuously changing in the thickness direction of the plate. Namely, parallel ray of light 4 of light entering from the end edge 2 of the transparent plate 1 having the refractive index distribution are bent to a high-refractive index side and arrive at a high- refractive index surface 3. The effect of the light transmission body is further enhanced by subjecting the high-refractive index surface 3 of the transparent plate 1 to a light diffusion treatment. The method of the light diffusion treatment is exemplified by finishing the surface to a satin state by sandpapering or honing, etc. The light arriving at the high-refractive index surface 3 is diffused by the light diffusion treatment of the surface and is emitted from the low-refractive index surface 5.

The difference in the refractive index between the front surface (low-refractive index surface) 5 and the rear surface (high-refractive index surface) 3 is 0.025 and the refractive index changes continuously. The surface hardness is extremely high.

CONSTITUTION:A monomer contg. at least one of polyfunctional sulfur-contg. allyl carbonates as an essential component is used for preparing a high refractive index resin by radical polymerization. It is pref. that at least one monomer selected from those of formulas I, II and III is used as the carbonate. In formulas I-III, (m) is 0 to 5; (n) is an integer of 0 to 4; R1 and R2 are each hydrogen, a 1 to 5C alkyl group or a sulfur-contg. substituent consisting of alpha S-groups and beta groups selected from CH2, formulas IV and V (wherein S-S is not incorporated; alpha is an integer of 1 to 5; beta is an integer of 1 to 10;); X is O or S; Y is O or S; provided that the case where both X and Y are O is included.
