    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a method for solving trouble of safety in work for pulling out a molded plate from an autoclave device which is caused by ammonia generated at the time of curing fire resisting fiber and acrylic fiber in the autoclave and trouble of ammonia odor in the obtained molded plate and furthermore trouble of the same at the time of working the molded plate and of warehouse storage and of handling and use in a closed apartment house. CONSTITUTION:In the case of curing a molded form formed of synthetic fiber contg. nitrile group and hydraulic substance in an autoclave, generated ammonia is removed in a state wherein the molded form is introduced into the autoclave curing device.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a nonasbestine friction material excellent in heat resistance, abrasion resistance and mechanical strengths by using a mixture of specified sulfurized acrylic flame-resistant fibers as a reinforcement of friction material. CONSTITUTION:A friction material containing a sulfurized acrylic flame-resistant fiber as a reinforcement, wherein said fiber comprises a mixture of a sulfurized acrylic flame-resistant fiber having a sulfur content of below 3wt.% and a sulfurized acrylic flame-resistant fiber having a sulfur content of 3wt.% or above. The reinforcing fiber is preferred to be in the form of a fibrillated fiber which can give a friction material which is particularly excellent in an ability to catch a matrix resin and a powder such as a filler in the friction material and has high uniformity. It is desirable that the mixing ratio of the low-sulfur content fiber be 5-50wt.% based on the total weight of the high and low sulfur content fibers. The sulfurized acrylic flame-resistant fiber may contain base fibers such as aramid fiber, glass fiber, carbon fiber, phenol fiber or steel fiber. As the binders, phenolic resins, melamine resins or the like can be used. Graphite, silica powders, metallic powders or the like may be suitably added in order to improve the frictional properties.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title fibers which can be used as a substituent for asbestos in fireman uniform or gasket, because it has high tensile strength, excellent alkali resistance, heat resistance and flame resistance, by sulfurizing acrylic fibers in an atmosphere containing specific sulfur with heat. CONSTITUTION:Acrylic fibers are sulfurized by heating the fibers in a specific sulfur-containing atmosphere whose oxygen content is lower than 1mole% to give the subject fibers. The sulfur-containing atmosphere is preferably composed of 3 or more mole% of sulfur-containing gas, preferably sulfur dioxide and less than 97mole% of an inert gas.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the polishing of high precision and high efficiency by specifying a coefficient of friction in the direction of the minimum coefficient of friction of a surface of an abrasive cloth, and specifying the difference between the minimum coefficient of friction and a coefficient of friction in the direction of the maximum coefficient of friction. SOLUTION: The non-woven fabric of an abrasive cloth is manufactured by entangling the extra fine fiber of 0.3 dtex or less. To simultaneously achieve both of 'high accuracy' and 'high efficiency' by controlling a surface condition of the abrasive cloth, the surface condition preferably satisfies that the minimum coefficient of static friction (coefficient of friction in the direction of the minimum coefficient of friction) of the surface is 1.0 or more, the minimum coefficient of friction is 1.0 or more, and the surface has the anisotropy satisfying that the difference Δμs between the minimum coefficient of static friction and the maximum coefficient of static friction is 0.5-2.0. When Δμs of the anisotropy is less than 0.5, the anisotropy is small and the polishing efficiency is reduced, and when the difference Δμm of the anisotropy is over 2.0, the surface is excessively roughened, and not only the polishing accuracy is impaired but also the surface of a matter to be polished is apt to be scratched.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject inflammable fiber, having a high tensile strength, excellent in alkali, heat and flame resistance and suitable for a fire clothing, etc., by dipping a fiber bundle consisting of an acrylic fiber in a liquid sulfur- containing compound and continuously heating and sulfurating the fiber bundle in a sulfur-containing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A fiber bundle 1 consisting of an acrylic fiber (e.g. fiber consisting of acrylonitrile unit with 2.0-5.0 polymerization degree) is dipped in a liquid sulfur-containing compound (e.g. sulfur dioxide) 3 equipped at an inlet part 2 of a heating oven 4. The above mentioned fiber bundle 1 is then continuously heated and sulfurated in a sulfur-containing gas 5, thus obtaining the objective inflammable fiber, preferably having 1-20wt.% sulfur content and >=4.0g/d tensile strength.
