    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrafiltration apparatus designed to remove great amounts of water content in blood and at the same time to inject the corresponding amount of a supplementary liquid into blood, having a mechanism in which a filtrate container and a substitute liquid container are attached one of the weighing device and the rotation speed of pump to send both liquids is automatically regulated according to the change in the total weight of the both containers. CONSTITUTION:The blood introduced into the dialysis apparatus 1 is combined with a supplementary liquid at the air trap 6, and then again circulated to human body. On the other hand, the filtrate removed from the filtrate side 4 to the outside of the dialysis apparatus 1 by the pump 8 is supplied to the weighing device 9. And, a part of the filtrate is discharged through 16, and most of the filtrate is supplied to the filtrate container 13. On the other hand, the substitute liquid 14 is supplied to the trap 16 through the pump 15. In this case, in case where the total amount of filtrate accumulated in the container 13 differs from the total amount of supplementary liquid supplied to the trap 16 from the container 14, the amount of liquid sent by the pump 15 is changed by the operation of the detector 17 and the weighing lever 10 is regulated to an equilibrium position so that the difference between the aforesaid amounts is zero.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To accurately measure and adjust the quantity of an ultrafiltration liquid and to ensur compact products and low cost without lowering the efficiency of dialysis when simultaneously performing dialysis and ultrafiltration as inan artificial kidney device, etc. used for purification treating blood. CONSTITUTION:A liquid to be dialyzed 2 is dialysis treated by means of a semi- permeable membrance 1 of a dialusis instrument 13 and discharged from an outlet 4. The liquid is dialyzed in such a manner that a sealed circulation circuit, to which a fresh dialysis liquid is filled, and the dialysis liquid is rotated to the dialysis instrument 13 from a hose 1b by means of a dialysis liquid circulation pump 9 and again to the hose 16 from the dialysis instrument 13. The hose is used which consisrs of a tube, which L/D is not less than 20 -preferably, not less than 50. Before the efficiency of dialysis lowers, dialysis treatment by the sealed circulation circuit is interrupted, valves 18, 19 are operated to form a flashing circuit, a fresh dialysis liquid 14 is fed from one end of the hose 16, and the used dialysis liquid in the hose is discharge through a pipe 15 from another end of the hose 16, thus replacing the dialysis liquid in the hose.
