Abstract:
Improved photo-oxidation apparatus for purifying water, which has at least two reaction chambers each connected by water passageways with neighboring chambers, and which has in each chamber, sources of ultraviolet light dipped practically vertically into the water to be treated and fixed by holders placed above the surface of the water. The apparatus is also equipped with nozzles through which gas, usually containing oxygen, is supplied, and with inlets for oxidizing agents, catalysts or photosensitizers in at least two of these chambers or sections.
Abstract:
Method of continuous crystallization of reacted solutes from solution in industrial quantities without formation of scale on the cooling surface. Controlled stirring limits the cooling of a supersaturated solution, providing superior crystal growth, using a Pe number in the range of about 0.1 to about 20.
Abstract:
Diaphragm for an electrical audio instrument manufactured from paper. The paper is manufactured from a pulp with a stroke index complying with a specific degree of looseness. The pulp also contains chopped carbon fibre whose modules of elasticity shall not be less than a given value. The diameter of the carbon fibre chipping shall be between 1 and 20 microns and the length between 0.5 and 20 millimeter. The surface of the carbon fibre is roughened by an oxidising process. The diaphragm has the shape of a cone or a dome. The diaphragm is fitted into a loudspeaker for use in hi-fi equipment.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:An ultrafiltration apparatus which can accurately control the rate of ultrafitration, is compact and inexpensive and has freedom from troubles in operation, in condensing and separating of liquid by ultrafiltration used in treatment of fermeting liquid, condensing of skimmilk, purification treatment of blood or the like in manufacturing processes of drugs and food.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To continuously and automatically perform washing works on photosensitive resin plates so as to improve the production efficiency of the plates, by providing a rotary brush for washing contacting with the plates while it is rotated and a cleaning means for cleaning the washed plates. CONSTITUTION:When a plate 1 with a steel-made base board is supplied from a plate inlet 19, the plate 1 is fetched by a nip roll 10 and attracted and fixed onto a carrying belt 6 by the magnetic action of the belt 6. While the plate 1 is carried by the belt 6, washing of the plate 1 is carried out in a rotary brush section. The washing speed is changed depending upon the concentration of the photosensitive resin dissolved into the washing liquid, but the speed is corrected by adjusting the speed of the belt 6 so that the optimum relief can always be obtained. It is desirable to detect the concentration of the resin in the liquid and automatically adjust the speed of the carrying belt 6 in accordance with the concentration, but the installation of equipment is expensive. Therefore, it is convenient to carry out the speed adjustment in such a way that the concentration fluctuation id divided into steps and the speed of the belt 6 is manually adjusted at every concentration step.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide such a device which is good in working efficiency and does not cause uneven washing-out by providing a means of carrying out the photosensitive resin plates having undergone exposure, a rotary brush for washing-out and cleaning means. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive resin plate 1 which has undergone exposure is inserted through a plate inlet 19. A conveyor belt 6 as a conveying means is driven by a motor. A conduit 7 for supplying whishing-out solution is built in the center of a rotary brush 2 for washing-out and is rotated by a crank arm 8. A freash solvent is fed through cleaning nozzles 9 being the cleaning means for cleaning the plate surfaces after washing-out to clean the plate. After the cleaning solution is squeezed off by squeeze rolls 20, the plate is taken out by delivery rolls 11. These including a washing-out solution storage tank 12 and cleaning solution storage tank 13 are in the outside walls and local exhaust ducts 16 provided to the inlet and outlet of the device are provided to this device. Air is exhausted by an exhaust fan 17. Acting of solvent vapor upon the operator does not occur and workability is good as well.
