    Abstract: PURPOSE:Laminate structures that are prepared by melt coating the surface of metal plates or tubes with a modified polyolefin followed by further melt coating with high-density polyethylene, thus improving the adhesion between high-density polyethylene and metal plates or tubes over the wide range of temperature and impact strength. CONSTITUTION:The surface of metal plates or tubes is melt coated with a modified polyethylene containing carbonyl and/or epoxy groups in the molecule, then further melt coated with high-density polyethylene. Said modified polyolefin is selected from polymers resulting from copolymerzation of ethylene, propylene, 1-butene or their mixture as the major monomer component and glycidyl methacrylate, and, when neccessary, acrylic or methacrylic acid, as compolymerization component, and graft compolymers resulting from grafting unsaturated carboxylic acids or their anhydrides onto polyethylene, polypropylene and others.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled composition having improved impact resistance particularly at low temperatures and low moisture absorption, without degrading the properties of polyamide resin, comprising a specific polyether-ester block copolymer and poly- epsilon-capramide resin having a specific molecular weight. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100 parts by wt. of a polyamide resin consisting substantially of poly-epsilon-capramide having a molecular weight of 10,000-20,000 is melt kneaded with (B) 10-80 parts by wt., preferably 15-60 parts by wt. of a polyether-ester block copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-4.0 and a polymerization degree of 8,000-several tens of thousands consisting of (a) one or two or more types of aromatic dicarboxylic acids, preferably terephthalic acid, (b) a short-chain diol consisting substantially of 1, 4-butanediol and/or 1, 6-hexanediol, and (c) a long-chain diol consisting substantially of poly (tetramethylene oxide) glycol having a amolecular weight of 600-3,000 at 230-260 deg.C.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled adhesive capable of being bonded to strongly a metal without primer coating, having improvd water resistance, comprising a polyester amide consisting of an ester made of benzenedicarboxylic acid, etc. as a main ingredient and an amide made of dodecanamide, etc. in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The desired adhesive comprising a polyester amide (preferably relative viscosity 1.25-3.0 and melting point not higher than 210 deg.C) consisting of (A) 5-80wt% ester unit made of benzenedicarboxylic acid (preferably butylene terephthalate and/or butylene isophthalate) and 1,4-butanediol as a main ingredients and (B) 95-20wt% amide unit consisting of dodecanamide and/or undecanamide (preferably 12-aminododecanoic acid and/or 11-aminoundecanoic acid, and their amide forming derivatives shown by the formulas I and II.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a novel polyester-amide having improved mechanical strength, impact resistance, transparency, softness, oil resistance, water resistance, adhesive property, flexibility, etc., by copolymerizing ester units with amide units each having a specific structure in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:A polyester having an average polymerization degree of 3-8 and ester units expressed by formula I and/or II is copolymerized with a nylon salt consisting of formula III (m is an integer 6-12) anf formula IV (n is an integer 6-10) or an aromatic dicarboxylic acid under vacuum at 200-270 deg.C to give the aimed polyester-amide having (A) the ester units expressed by formula I and/or II and (B) amide units expressed by formula V (R is formula VI or monocyclic aromatic nucleus) at a weight ratio between the units (A) and (B) of 20:80-95:/5. USE:Useful for a molded article, e.g. a fiber or film, a hot-melt adhesive for metal, fiber, plastic or wood, a solution adhesive, a coating material, etc.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a polyester amide having a high degree of polymn. and outstanding performance, consisting of butylene tere (or iso) phthalate unit and dodecanamide unit and/or undecanamide unit. CONSTITUTION:An arom. dicarboxylic acid (A) consisting of terephthalic acid and/or isophthalic acid is reacted with 1,4-butanediol (B) in an amount of 1.05- 2.0-fold moles of the component (A) and 12-aminododecanoic acid and/or 11-aminoundecanoic acid (C) in the presence of an esterification catalyst at a temp. of 150- 260 deg.C. Then the reaction mixt. is subjected to polycondensation at a temp. of 200- 270 deg.C and at a reduced pressure of 10mm.Hg or below to obtain the desired polyester amide consisting of 20-95wt% butylene terephthalate unit and/or butylene isophthalate unit and 80-5wt% dodecanamide unit and/or undecanamide unit, which is transparent when it is molten and whose melting point is several degrees-20 C higher than that of a conventional product.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a hot-melt adhesive for textile use, having excellent dry-cleaning resistance and hot-water washing resistance, giving excellent touch to the bonded part, and composed of a polyether-ester copolymer having a specific intrinsic viscosity.
