Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter membrane module wherein microorganisms such as pathogenic protozoa represented by cryptosporidium are hardly mixed into a filtrated water even when a hollow fiber membrane is broken. SOLUTION: A filter membrane module is provided with a treating container, a partition plate 4 for dividing this treating container into a stock soln. room and a filtrate room, at least one follow fiber membrane element 6 provided by being mounted on the partition plate 4 and using a hollow fiber membrane in this stock soln. room and a filter member 7 provided on the furthermore downstream side to the follow fiber membrane element 6 in relation to the flow direction of the stock soln. and contg. a filter medium with a larger pore diameter than the fine pore diameter of the hollow fiber membrane.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating a hollow fiber membrane module in which turbidity of water in a module is made equal to that of fed raw water on water supply in a short time to enable improving a recovery rate and reducing depositions on the membrane surface in advance, thereby reducing a rise in differential pressure on filter operation to prolong the life of the hollow fiber membrane module. SOLUTION: In a hollow fiber membrane module operation process having a water supply process in which a hollow fiber membrane is filled with raw water of a solid-liquid mixture, a filtration process in which the raw water is filtered through a hollow fiber membrane, a washing process in which depositions on the surface of the hollow fiber membrane are removed, and a discharge process in which concentrated water on the surface of the hollow fiber membrane on the raw water supply side is discharged, on the water supply process, raw water whose volume is larger than that of raw water to be filled into the hollow yarn membrane module is introduced into the hollow yarn membrane module to make it to overflow it, and furthermore, air is introduced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient water treatment for a long period by providing a membrane filter device using a filter membrane module for removing the pollutants in raw water for treatment with a water quality inspection apparatus and actuating a washing mechanism for washing a filter membrane when the water quality of a permeate exceeds a predetermined value. SOLUTION: The raw water is sent from a raw water supply port 9 through a raw water tank 2, a raw water supply pump 3 and a raw water supply valve 7 to the filter membrane module 1. The permeated water after the filtration is taken out of a permeated water intake port 10 through a permeated water line 11. During the filtration operation, the permeated water quality is inspected by the water quality inspection apparatus 4. When the prescribed water quality is exceeded, the raw water supply valve 7 is closed and thereafter, an air supply valve 15 and an air discharge valve 16 are opened to execute air bubbling washing. The air supply valve 15 and the air discharge valve 16 are closed after washing and the raw water supply valve 7 is opened to restart filtration operation. The water quality inspection apparatus to be used 4 includes a turbidity meter for measuring the pollutant concn. in the water, etc.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber membrane module whose hollow fiber membranes are prevented from damages due to deterioration of the membranes by installing a protective cylinder for covering the hollow fiber membrane bundle near the adhesive fixation part and preventing deposition of suspended solid in the protective cylinder. SOLUTION: In this hollow fiber membrane module, a bundle 2 of a large number of hollow fiber membranes having an adhesive fixed part 3 in at least one end is fixed in an upper part of a housing 1 and the circumference of the hollow fiber membrane bundle 2 in the fixed end is covered with a protective cylinder 4 extended from the adhesive fixed part 3 and an air jetting hole 6 for air scrubbing is formed in a lower part of the housing 1 and an air discharge port 7 is formed in the peripheral part of the adhesive fixed part 3 in the upper part of the housing. In such a hollow fiber membrane module, the cylindrical face of the protective cylinder 4 is made a closed face through which a fluid is impossible to pass in the region at least 10 mm from the adhesive fixed part 3 and an opening part 40 through which a fluid can freely pass is formed in a region of 10-60 mm from the adhesive fixed part 3.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically lessen the disturbance of a hollow yarn membrane bundle formed by bending many porous hollow yarn membranes to a U shape in an outside cylinder by air scrubbing and to effectively remove the stains of membrane surfaces by providing a shape holding material for holding the shape of the hollow yarn membrane bundle with a member for suppressing the vibration of the shape holding material. SOLUTION: Both ends of the hollow yarn membrane bundles 5 formed by bending plural porous hollow fiber membranes to the U shape in the outside cylinder 1 are adhered and fixed with an adhesive 6 to a cap 7. The shape of the hollow yarn membrane bundle 5 is held by the shape holding material. The shape holding material comprises a central rod 1 of a rod-shaped body, which is held to the adhering and fixing part and a bundle regulating member 2, which passes the inner side of the hollow yarn membrane bundle held by the rod and supports the hollow yarn membrane bundle. The shape holding material is provided with the vibration suppressing material 3 for suppressing the vibration of the shape holding material in the lower part of the bundling regulating material 2. The shape of the vibration suppressing material 3 is not particularly limited, insofar as such shapes are capable of suppressing the vibration and such a shape, which suppresses the turbulent flow of bubbling by dividing flow to several pieces of the flow is selected.
