Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the production of excess sludge, by introducing a waste water containing a biologically oxidizable constituent into an activated sludge unit and a biological diaphragm contact oxidizer and mixing the discharge sludge from the activated sludge unit with that from the oxidizer and performing the aerobic digestion etc. of the mixed sludge. CONSTITUTION:About 97 to 70 % of the waste water from an inlet pipe 1 is introduced into an activated sludge aeration vessel 2. The rest of the waste water is introduced into a biological diaphragm unit 13. The discharge sludge from the aeration vessel 2 is separated in a sludge sedimentation vessel 3. One part of the separated sludge is returned to the aeration vessel 2 and the other part is supplied to a digestion vessel 15. The discharged sludge from the diaphragm unit 13 is removed of filtered water 16 by a biological diaphragm sludge separating screen 14 and then conveyed to the digestion vessel 15, wherein the mixed sludge is aerobically digested. The digested sludge is introduced into the aeration vessel 2 and the biological diaphragm unit 13 through a return pipe 17. As a result, excess sludge is hardly produced and the quality of the treated water and the stability of the activated sludge are raised.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently subject a large quantity of raw water to solid-liquid separation treatment in low cost by suppressing the fine pulverization of a solid component in raw water by performing at least the introduction of raw water into a filter drum from a raw water basin by the natural flow down based on head difference. SOLUTION: The raw water from an upper basin 1 is introduced into the rotary filter drum 31 of a filter drum apparatus 3 through an upper basin outflow pipe 12, a flocculation reaction tank 2 and the outflow port 26 of the tank 2. In this purifying process, the introduction of the raw water at least up to this stage is performed by the natural flow down based on head difference ΔH3 . Since no pump is used in the sending of raw water up to this stage, shearing force is not mechanically applied to raw water and it is prevented that a solid component is finely pulverized by shearing force or the solid component flocculated by the charging of a flocculant is finely pulverized. In this state, raw water is introduced into the filter drum apparatus 3.

Those devices are moved on land by the truck 5 to be transported to the arbitrary waterside of a water area to purify the water area.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prolong the service life of a filter cloth and also to use inexpensive filter cloths, to stably travel the filter cloth and to facilitate its replacement by making both the sides of the endless filter cloth circulating on a fixed track unrestricted and adjusting the tension of the filter cloth by a tension adjusting means. CONSTITUTION:A filter cloth is made unrestricted, being merely put on each roll and drum. A 1st sensor 118 is installed near a guide roll. When the filter cloth meanders, the sensor 118 outputs a detection signal, which is fed to a controller 182. Then the controller 182 exercises switching control between solenoid valves 91 and 115. When the piston rod of a 2nd cylinder is contracted by a prescribed amount, a meandering adjustment roll is rotated around a vertical pin to return the meandering filter cloth to a normal traveling path. Thus, the filter cloth travels without any slidable contact, and there are no wearing, etc., and wrinkle are not occurred.
