    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a solid-liquid separation apparatus capable of reducing the amt. of new washing water for regenerating filter cloth to enable more inexpensive operation. CONSTITUTION: In a solid-liquid separation apparatus wherein a solid-liquid separation area receiving the supply of raw water is provided to a part of the endless moving passage of filter cloth 2 and backwashing nozzles 25 and surface washing nozzles 24 are arranged to the other region of the endless moving passage, a new water supply line 26 is connected to the backwashing nozzles 25 and an old water supply line 29 to which the filtered water separated in the solid-liquid separation region is refluxed is connected to the surface washing nozzles 25.

CONSTITUTION:This solid-liquid separator is equipped with a filter cloth 2 provided to be freely circulately traveled on a fixed track, a solid/liquid feeding part 21 for feeding solid/liquid to the filter cloth, a meandering adjustment roll 106 for guiding the traveling of the filter cloth 2, a vacuum hopper having a lot of filter cloth guide rolls at the opening part, and a sensor for detecting the meandering of the filter cloth. The filter cloth guide roll 106 or the evacuated hopper are rotated based on a detection signal from the sensor to adjust the traveling direction of the filter cloth.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve circulation and purification properties of pool water by installing a rotating drum type solid-liq. separation apparatus wherein a filter material of which a base material made of woven fabric or knit fabric is made piled and pile of ultrafine fiber is laid to cover the surface of the base material is mounted, on the upstream side and an oxidation apparatus on the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:A filter material wherein pile of ultrafine fiber with a thickness of about 0.1-10mum formed by making a base material piled is laid in one direction on the surface of the base material consisting of woven fabric or knit fabric is mounted on a cylindrical filter drum 4. A raw water such as a pool water is continuously fed into the inside of the cylindrical filter drum 4 under rotating condition through a pipeline and it is filtered when it passes through the filter drum 4. The solid substance separated from the raw water and attached on the inner wall of a filter drum 4 is washed reversely with a part of filtrate water sent to a nozzle 8 by means of a circulation pump 7 and the back washing water is discharged out of the system through a discharging pipeline 9. Purified water is sent to an oxidation apparatus 2 mounted with an ultraviolet lamp 10, wherein water-soluble impurities remaining in the water are removed by decomposition and sterilized.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the slurry fluidity and to eliminate the clogging of pipes by shurry, by supplying a slurry of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol while vibrating to an esterification reactor via a supply pipe. CONSTITUTION:Terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol are supplied to the slurrying device 1, and the resulting slurry is stored in the storage tank 4. The slurry is then taken out of the outlet pipe 8 at the bottom and supplied to the esterification reactor 6 via the pump 5 and pipr 7. The slurry is vibrated to prevent the clogging likely to occur in the bend parts of the outlet pipe 8 and pipe 7 or perpendicular piping and valves and inlet to the reactor 6. For example, the mechanical vibration is applied to the supply pipe 7 by the vibrator 9 from outside, or ultrasonic waves are irradiated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:The recycled slurry of ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid is fed stably into a plurality of batchwise polymerizers to produce bis-beta-hydroxyethyl terephthalate and/or its oligomers. CONSTITUTION:A slurry of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol wherein the molar ratio of EG/TPA is 0.95 or more is stored in slurry tank 2, taken out of it with primary snake pump 3 and recycled in pipe 4. The slurry is fed from the arbitrary points of the recycling pipe through branching balve 5 and metering pump 7 into a plurality of esterifiers 9. At this time counter 8 counts the revolution number of the feed pump for the slurry and the amount fed is controlled. Thus, the batchside esterification is conducted to produce the objective polyester. EFFECT:The cyclization of the slurry can keep the uniformity and the constant molar ratio and prevent the clogging of pipes.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the long-term stable operation of a reverse osmosis apparatus and the enhancement of the economical efficiency thereof by using two-stage pretreatment devices of a rotary drum type solid-liquid separator employing raised extremely fine fibers as a filter material and a precise filter device using hollow fiber membranes as a filter material to remove impurities with a specific diameter by the respective devices. SOLUTION: Since a filter material formed by covering the surface of a base material, for example, fabric with lying raised extremely fine fibers is fitted to a rotary drum type solid-liquid separator 1, suspended matter with a particle size of about 1-100μm is filtered and separated by this precise filter layer. Since a precise filter device 2 uses a filter material wherein hollow fibers having pores with a pore size of 0.01-1μm formed to the wall surfaces thereof are bundled, fine suspended matter with a particle size exceeding 0.01-10μm incapable of being separated by the solid-liquid separator is filtered and separated. Finally, a reverse osmosis device 4 separates impurities, for example, a soluble salt or org. matter passed through the two-stage pretreatment devices 1, 2 and remaining in treated water.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To supply clean city water at all times by installing a water tank and a sealed type filter in the water tank, connecting the filter and the outside of the water tank by a water pipe and flowing raw city water sent into the filter through the water pipe into the water tank as purified city water from the filter. CONSTITUTION: Raw city water is passed through a raw city-water side filtering chamber 30 from the inflow port 33 of a filter 3 through a water pipe 5, and introduced into a cylindrical body. Raw city water introduced into the cylindrical body is filtered when it is flowed into hollow yarn from the micropores of polysulfone hollow yarn, and impurities are collected in the cylindrical body. Purified city water is flowed out to a purified city-water side filtering chamber 31 from openings on both ends of the polysulfone hollow yarn, and flowed into a water tank 2 as purified city water from an outflow port 34. Each faucet is supplied with purified city water in the water tank 2 as required from a feed water pipe 6 at all times. Clogging is generated gradually by impurities in the filter 3, the water pressure of the raw city-water side filtering chamber 30 of the filter 3 is increased gradually with the reduction of the quantity of water filtered, and a pressure control valve 32 is opened automatically and raw city water is flowed instantaneously into the water tank 2 from the filtering chamber 30 when water pressure exceeds pressure previously set by pressure control, but no trouble is generated in water supply.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prolong the service life of a filter cloth and also to use inexpensive filter cloths, to stably travel the filter cloth and to facilitate its replacement by making both the sides of the endless filter cloth circulating on a fixed track unrestricted and adjusting the tension of the filter cloth by a tension adjusting means. CONSTITUTION:A filter cloth is made unrestricted, being merely put on each roll and drum. A 1st sensor 118 is installed near a guide roll. When the filter cloth meanders, the sensor 118 outputs a detection signal, which is fed to a controller 182. Then the controller 182 exercises switching control between solenoid valves 91 and 115. When the piston rod of a 2nd cylinder is contracted by a prescribed amount, a meandering adjustment roll is rotated around a vertical pin to return the meandering filter cloth to a normal traveling path. Thus, the filter cloth travels without any slidable contact, and there are no wearing, etc., and wrinkle are not occurred.
