Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skillful user interface corresponding to a physical operation. SOLUTION: A device 10 has a deformed face 20 having a deformed sensor mesh 22 at a lower part for detecting surface deformation by straddling plural small areas on the deformation possible surface 20 or in the areas. The deformed sensor mesh 22 is connected to a processor 24 which has a connected memory system 26 and which is held inside. A sensing system 28 is provided for detecting various deformations in terms of position or environment. The device contains a feed back module 33 which is to contain a situation display 30 which can be viewed from outside or a non-visual feedback module 31. The device is provided with a communication system 32 for receiving/transmitting information with the other electronic or computing device.

The inner surface of each of the dichroic fine particle material storage parts 530 and 560 has a parabola shape.

The display 1 is, for example, a rotary element display and has perforations to enable a user to disconnect or tear the display to plural sub-displays. The display 1 can also be cut by using a thermal cutting manipulation in such a manner that the cut parts are thermally fused.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display supplied with a power source by ambient energy. SOLUTION: This display 400 comprises a control part C supplying a display driving signal using only ambient energy AE. The reason why the control part C is able to impress a driving signal on the display 400 by using only the ambient energy is that optically anisotropic particles 424 require only little energy for the rotation. Any external power source such as battery is not connected from supplying the electric power for impressing an electric field required for driving the display 400.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skillful user interface for dealing with physical operation by connecting a first device so as to practically simultaneously communicate with second and third devices in order to dispatch data based on a spatial position. SOLUTION: A device 10 has a deformed surface 20 having a deformation sensor mesh 22 on the bottom side for detecting surface deformation within the plural small areas of the deformable surface 20 or over these areas. The deformation sensor mesh 22 is connected to a processor 24 internally preserved while having a connected memory system 26. The sensor mesh 22 is intended so as to contain the combination of plural sensors and sensor types, and used over the entire part or one part of the deformable surface 20. A morpheme input to be used together with a morpheme input detected by the sensor mesh 22 can improve accuracy and flexibility in the control of the device 10 by a user.
