Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of the mechanism part of a compressor by setting its piston stroke zero when it holds therein a liquid refrigerant, and promptly increase the piston stroke by reduced levels when it holds therein no liquid refrigerant. SOLUTION: A variable-displacement swash plate type compressor includes a coil spring 44 for pressing a swash plate 10 in the direction to reduce the tilted angle thereof, and a coil spring 47 for pressing the swash plate 10 in the direction to increase the tilted angle thereof. The tilted angle of the swash plate 10 is varied corresponding to a change in pressure of a crankcase 8 housing the swash plate 10, upon which the stroke of a piston 7 is varied. The coil spring 47 is made of a shape memory alloy so as to have a smaller spring constant which hardly validates its spring force below its predetermined transformation point range of 10 to 30 deg.C and to have a larger spring constant which validates its original spring force above the predetermined transformation point range.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of noise and prevent a retainer from wearing and being damaged. SOLUTION: In one of a plurality of openings 61 to 67, a protruded portion 82a of a certain shoe 80 of a plurality of shoes slidably contacts a retainer 53 in its radial direction, wherein the opening area of the openings 62 to 67 excepting the opening 61 is larger than the moving area of a protruded portion 52 of a shoe 52a excepting the shoe 80. During the rotation of a nutation plate 10, only the protruded portion 82a of the shoe 80 reciprocates along the radial direction of a retainer 53 contacting the inner circumferential surface of a plurality of openings 61 of the retainer 53, while the protruded portion 52a of the reset shoe 50 is engaged in precessional action without contacting the inner circumferential surface of the openings 62 to 67 of the retainer 53 of the openings.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve mechanical efficiency, and prevent seizure by forming a ring-shaped oil groove and one spiral groove in slide surfaces of a radial bearing and a main shaft, and forming the other spiral groove in slide surfaces of a hollow part and an oscillation shaft so as to supply constant oil quantity. CONSTITUTION:When a scroll compressor 1 is actuated, oil in an oil sump 35 is sucked from a filter 50a to an oil guide tube 50 by a differential pressure between a high pressure chamber 46 and a low pressure chamber 43. The oil then passes through a throughhole in a fixed scroll member 26, a throughhole 52 in a shim plate 25, and an oil introducing hole 53 in a block 17 to bge supplied from a throughhole 54 in a radial bearing 21 to a ring-shaped oil groove in a slide surface to a main shaft. The oil moves up in a first spiral groove by rotation of the main shaft to go through a communication hole 57 to reach a hollow part 15. The oil then goes down in a second spiral groove to lubricate slide surfaces of the hollow part 15 and an oscillation shaft 24a to reach slide surfaces of the block 17 and a movable scroll member 24.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abrasion and seizure of contact parts of a swash plate and a shaft as well as to improve controllability by smoothing the axial motion (the tilting motion) of the swash plate. SOLUTION: A link mechanism 41 for tiltably connecting a swash plate 10 to a thrust flange 40 and transmitting torque of the thrust flange 40 to the swash plat 10 is constituted of a bracket 10e provided on the front side end surface 10c of the swash plate 10, a pair of guide grooves 10f, 10g provided in parallel on the bracket 10e, a rod 43 screwed to the swash plate side end surface 40a of the thrust flange 40, and a pair of spherical parts 43a, 43b provided on the tip of the rod 43. Since a pair of spherical parts 43a, 43b of the link mechanism 41 are relatively slidably fitted to a pair of guide grooves 10f, 10g provided across the top dead center (t) of the swash plate 10, the rotation around the Y-axis of the swash plate 10 can be prevented.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate bad influence of a pressure change of refrigerant gas exerted on an operation of a valve element so as to improve opening precision of the valve element by communicating a plunger chamber in a solenoid excitation part with a pressure chamber and inserting upper and lower end parts of the valve element constructed of a rod type body forming a control valve main unit into both chambers. SOLUTION: This control valve 100 is constructed of a solenoid excitation part 130 provided with a plunger 133 moving upward/downward according to excitation of a solenoid 131A, a pressure sensing part 145 having a bellows 146 interlocking with the plunger 133, and a control valve main unit 120 having a valve chamber 123, a valve element 132 interlocking with the plunger 133 and the like. A pressure chamber 151 in a stopper 124 is communicated with a clearance part 139 via a lateral hole 153, while the clearance part 139 is communicated with the plunger chamber 130a via a cancel hole 155. In this way, a pressure in the plunger chamber 130a in the control valve main unit 120 and a pressure of the pressure chamber 141 serve as an intake pressure together, so that pressure in the upper and lower ends in the moving direction of the valve element 132 are always equalized to each other.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve valve opening and closing accuracy by disposing a control valve main body changing an inclined angle of a swash plate on the side of a rear housing and providing low temperature coolant gas introducing space which is communicated with an inlet pressure area of a compressor between a solenoid housing and a rear housing. SOLUTION: The change of discharge capacity of a variable displacement compressor 1 is performed by adjusting the opening of a spherical valve element 126 of a control valve 100 interposed in a coolant gas path communicating a discharge pressure area and a crank chamber 8 by energizing force of a solenoid incorporated into the control valve 100 and changing an inclined angle of a swash plate 10 within the crank chamber 8. At this time, the control vale 100 is buried on the side of a rear housing 3 of the compressor 1, low temperature coolant gas introducing space which is communicated with an inlet pressure area of the compressor 1 is formed between a solenoid housing and the rear housing 3 of the control valve 100 and an inlet port is communicated. As a result, the control valve 100 is cooled by low temperature coolant gas from the side of a suction chamber 13 and overheat of the solenoid is prevented.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce any load to be imposed on the center hole of a swash plate engaging with a shaft upon abating a torsional moment acting on this swash plate, smoothening an axial movement (tilting motion) of the swash plate, and to make improvements in controllability, while to make any possible abrasion and seizure in a contact part between the swash plate and the shaft so as to be preventable. SOLUTION: A position between a guide groove 10f of a swash plate 10 and a rod 43 with a globular part 43a to be fitted in this guide groove 10f, namely, a position of linkage 41 is offset to the side of a compressive area in relation to a boundary lying between a compressive area of the swash plate 10 receiving a compressive reaction P of a piston and a tensile area of the swash plate 10 receiving a tentile reaction T of the piston. In consequence, a torsional moment Mt acting on the swash plate 10 becomes very lessened, and thereby any load to be imposed on a center hole of the swash plate 10 engaging with a shaft 5 is decreased, whereby an X axial movement (tilting motion) of the swash plate 10 becomes smoothed enough.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the automatic assembling of a shoe by forming a recessed part for assembling a shoe, which comprises a recessed part for loading the shoe, and a guide face for guiding the shoe to a sliding face, on an area where the compression load is not received, of the front and rear side sliding faces of a swash plate. SOLUTION: The recessed face parts (recessed part for supporting) 51a, 51b, opposite to a moving direction of a piston 7, are formed on one edge of the piston 7, the projecting face parts 50a of the shoes 50 are slidably fitted and supported to the recessed face parts 51a, 51b, so that one virtual spherical body is formed by the projecting face parts 50a of a pair of shoes. On the other hand, a recessed part 70 for assembling the shoe 50, which comprises a recessed part 70a for loading the shoe 50, and a taper face (guide face) for guiding the shoe 50 in the recessed part 70a, to the sliding face 10a, is formed on a position at about 90 degree in an intake travelling direction from a top dead center position of the sliding face 10a at a rear side of the swash plate 10. Further the recessed part for assembling 70 is located outside of a moving locus on the center of the shoe 50.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement swash plate type compressor provided with a connecting mechanism of a simplified structure facilitating assembly. SOLUTION: A hinge mechanism is constituted by a linear guide groove 10f provided in a front side of a swash plate 10 and a single pin 43 having a spherical part 43a slidably fitted to this guide groove 10f. In this way, a number of part items is decreased, a structure of the hinge mechanism is simplified, necessary for press fitting a connection pin and mounting a snap ring in the case of assembly is eliminated, and a rod 43 is only required to be fitted to the guide groove 10f, so as to facilitate assembly as compared with that in the prior art.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facitate gap control to a slide surface of a shoe and a slide surface of a swash plate by composing the shoe of separate bodies of a first support member to support a one end part tip surface of a connecting rod to be capable of rolling, and a second support member to support its one end part back end surface to be capable of rolling. SOLUTION: A shoe 50 is composed of a first support member 51 to support a tip surface of one end part 11a of a connecting rod 11 to be capable of rolling, and a second support member 52 to support a back end surface of the other end part 11b of the connecting rod 11. The first support member 51 is provided with a recessed surface part 51a which gets in surface contact with the tip surface of one end part 11a. The second support member 52 is provided with a thin disc-shaped center part 52 which is swollen to surround the back end surface of one end part 11a. In this constitution, need of cutting work to a slide surface of the shoe 50 is eliminated, but a shoe cap can be adjusted only by changing the disc-shaped first support member 51.
