Die Erfindung betrifft einen Antrieb (2) zum automatischen Betätigen von Fahrzeugtüren oder Fahrzeugklappen mit einer ersten, einen Motor (6) enthaltenden Antriebseinheit (4) und mindestens einer zweiten, mit der ersten Antriebseinheit (4) über eine Welle (11) verbundenen Antriebseinheit. Um zu erreichen, daß der Antrieb (2) optimal an die räumlichen Gegebenheiten der Fahrzeugkontur anpaßbar ist, schlägt die Erfindung vor, die zwei Antriebseinheiten (4,5 ) des entsprechenden Antriebes (2) über eine flexible Welle (11) drehfest miteinander zu verbinden.

Eine Vorrichtung zum Schliessen einer Tür (2) eines Kraftfahrzeuges mit einem der Tür (2) zugeordneten ersten Schlossteil (90) und einem dem Türrahmen (16) zugeordneten zweiten Schlossteil (91). Das erste Schlossteil (90) ist mit einem Schaltelement (64) gekoppelt, von dessen Schaltzustand (Sm) die Aktivierung einer Schliesshilfe abhängig ist, welche die Schlossteile (90, 91) in eine Schliessposition überführt.

A power drive moves a movable closure (D) between an open position and a closed position with respect to a portal defining a passage through a barrier. The power drive can include an elongated drive member (34) connected to the movable closure and a ball nut drive assembly (64) for selectively moving the drive member longitudinally. The elongated drive member (34) can be a compound drive member having at least one gear or tooth-like member extending helically around in uniformly spaced turns about a core of the drive member to form a rigid or resilient screw-like portion (88) capable of being driven by operable engagement with the recirculating ball nut drive assembly (64). A flexible portion, such as a push/pull cable (90) can be attached to one end of the screw-like member to allow the power drive to move a movable closure along a curved or other non-linear path.

The door is supported adjacent its forward end on forward guide member (24) and adjacent its rear end on rear guide member (31) guiding the door through (i) an initial closing movement generally parallel to the panel, (ii) a final closing movement generally parallel to the panel, (iii) a portion of its final closing movement generally toward the plane of the opening, and (iv) a portion of its initial opening movement generally away from the plane of the opening. A system for assisting a user in moving a device relative to a structure comprises a magnetorheological (MR) fluid actuator unit including at least one torque source and at least one MR fluid clutch apparatus having an input coupled to the at least one torque source to receive torque from the at least one torque source, the MR fluid clutch apparatus controllable to transmit a variable amount of assistance force via an output thereof. An interface is configured for coupling the output of the at least one MR fluid clutch apparatus to the device or surrounding structure. At least one sensor provides information about a movement of the device. A processor unit for controlling the at least one MR fluid clutch apparatus in exerting the variable amount of assistance force as a function of said information, wherein the system is configured for one of the MR fluid actuator unit and the interface to be coupled to the structure, and for the other of the MR fluid actuator unit and the interface to be coupled to the device for the assistance force from the MR fluid actuator unit to assist in moving the device.
