Abstract:
An apparatus includes a drive mechanism, a patient support mechanism, and an electronic system. The drive mechanism is included in a trolley and is configured to suspend the trolley from a support track. The drive mechanism includes a first sensor configured to sense an operating condition of the drive mechanism. The patient support mechanism couples to the trolley and includes a tether and a second sensor. The tether can be operatively coupled to a patient such that the patient support mechanism supports the patient. The second sensor is configured to sense an operating condition of the patient support mechanism. The electronic system is included in the trolley and has at least a processor and a memory. The processor is configured to define a gait characteristic of the patient based at least in part on a signal received from the first sensor and a signal received from the second sensor.
Abstract:
There is provided a device (100) for the treatment of adhesive capsulitis in a joint of a patient, the device (100) comprising a driven manipulation effector (115) adapted to contact a part of the body of the patient corresponding to the joint, wherein the device (100) is adapted such that the manipulation effector (115) moves in accordance with a point-to-point motion profile.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a rehabilitation training apparatus including a pair of first tracks that are arranged in parallel at an interval, a second track that is perpendicular to the pair of first tracks and is movably connected to the pair of first tracks, a hand holder that is movably provided in the second track and on which a hand of the user is held, a holder driving unit that reciprocally moves the hand holder along the second track, and a track driving unit that reciprocally moves the second track along the pair of first tracks.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An autonomous mechanical CPR device is disclosed having a CPR unit attached to a free-standing support assembly. In operation, a victim is placed in the support assembly such that the CPR unit can compress the victim's chest. The CPR device is preferably portable, and it provides the recommended depth of chest compression at the recommended rate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a stimulation device, comprising a base body (1) and a contact element (5) which is attached on or in the base body, and which is intended for contacting with a body part of the user, said contact element having at least one reversibly deformable contact surface region (6), wherein at least one shaping element (2), designed to generate a local deformation of the contact element without deforming the base body, is arranged on or in the base body such that it can move in relation to the base body, and at least one actuation device is arranged on or in the base body and is operatively connected to the shaping element in order to generate a movement of the at least one shaping element, which actuation device comprises at least one shape-memory element (7) that can be deformed by applying an electrical current and/or a magnetic field and/or by changing the temperature, said shape-memory element being connected to the base body on one side and to the shaping element on the other side, and, by deforming, causing a movement of the at least one shaping element.
Abstract:
An electromechanical chest compressor is provided with a reciprocating member for contacting a patient's chest; the reciprocating member extends from and retracts into a housing positioned on a patient's chest maintained in contact with a patient by a circumscribing thoracic cavity belt. The reciprocating member is driven by a follower in contact with a rotating drive screw. The drive screw is mounted coaxially with and internally of a permanent magnet DC motor and is connected to the motor's rotor. The current supplied to each of the individual stator windings of the motor is independently controlled by a control system that accesses addresses in a look-up table to determine the value of the current to be supplied to the individual windings.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an automated cardiopulmonary resuscitation device for cyclically compressing a patient's chest. The CPR device comprises a front structure with a first and a second movable unit arranged to move back and forth along said front structure; a back support for positioning behind the patient's back arranged to keep the front structure in a fixed position relative to the patient's back; a chest pad; two arms each rotatably coupled to the chest pad with one end and each being rotatably coupled to a respective one of the first and the second movable units; and a motor arranged for, when in operation, driving the first and the second movable units back and forth such that the chest pad cyclically compresses the patient's chest.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a two-degree-of-freedom planar rehabilitating, monitoring and/or evaluating device comprising a first guiding mechanism (2), a second guiding mechanism (3), substantially parallel to the first guiding mechanism (2), a third guiding mechanism (4), substantially perpendicular to the first and second guiding mechanisms (2, 3), and an end-effector (5), wherein the third guiding mechanism (4) is connected to the first and second guiding mechanisms (2,3), and wherein the end-effector (5) is connected to the third guiding mechanism (4). The present invention also relates to a two-degree-of-freedom planar rehabilitating, monitoring and/or evaluating interactive device adapted for rehabilitation, monitoring and/or assessment of the upper limbs of a subject, comprising said device.
