Abstract: An automatic operation device for a floodgate opening and closing system is provided to respond to emergencies such as flood by lowering a floodgate regardless of water level. An automatic operation device for a floodgate opening and closing system comprising a lift device, a flood lowering device(550), and a housing(590) comprises a mounting bracket(10), a drive motor(20), and a rotating unit(40). The lift device opens and closes a floodgate. The floodgate lowering device lowers the floodgate, which is lifted, with a link member(551) and a brake unit(553) interlocking with a manual operation of a lever(557). The housing embeds the lift device, and the floodgate lowering device is installed to the housing. The mounting bracket is fixed to the outer surface of the housing in correspondence with the floodgate lowering device. The drive motor is mounted to the mounting bracket. The rotating unit is connected with the rotary shaft of the drive motor and rotated up and down to control the link member of the floodgate lowering device as the rotating shaft revolves forwards and backwards.
