Abstract:
A mechanism for angularly moving a panel or closure element such as a window. The mechanism includes a housing (10) which incorporates a guide (19) in which is slidingly located an elongate multi-link connector (11). One end (17) of the connector (11) is extendable from the housing (10) and is able to be coupled to the panel or closure element by a coupling (12). A handle (13) mounted with the cover (15) of the housing (10) can be rotated to move the connector (11) relative to the guide (19). The connector (11) is formed from a plurality of links (16) maintained in an interengaging relationship by an elongate flexible joining element (30) extending therethrough. The connector includes a plurality of drive dogs (35) for engagement with a toothed gear coupled to the handle (13) so that drive from the handle (13) can be imparted to the connector (11).
Abstract:
An articulated-chain actuator (11) comprising, within a box-like casing (12), a chain (13) which is guided so as to slide by guides (14) along a preset path (15) leading outside through an opening (16) formed in the box-like casing (12). The chain (13) has an end (17) which is associated with anchoring means (18) for connection to a body to be moved and is coupled to a pinion (20) which is connected to motor means (21). The actuator (11) comprises, within the box-like casing (12), an encoder (23) for adjusting and controlling the activation/deactivation of the motor means (21); the encoder (23) is suitable to stop the chain (13) in preset chosen positions.
Abstract:
In an openable window, the frame of which may be locked to the main frame by means of a pasquil locking mechanism comprising a locking rod (2,3) longitudinally displaceable in a frame member (1,1') for actuating locking means (4) to engage and disengage engagement means (5) connected with the main frame structure, the frame being openable from the closed position to a ventilation position by means of a manually operated or electrically driven window operator with an operating member (8), the locking mechanism is actuated thereby that a driver member (11) connected with the locking rod (2,3) is brought into engagement with a coupling member (14) connected with the operating member (8) for actuation of the locking rod (2,3) in continuation of the movement of the operating member (8), when the window is closed, and ahead of the movement of the operating member, when the window is open. A stopping means (15,16) prevents in connection with the closing movement actuation of the driver member (11) and the locking rod (2,3) until the frame is tightened against the main frame and the locking means (4) are positioned opposite engagement members (5) in the main frame structure.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A flexible rack for engagement with the gear of a drive system comprises two or more steel cords that are arranged parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction. The steel cords are surrounded by a polymer jacket wherein recesses are provided for engagement with the teeth of the drive gear. The centres of the steel cord are in a plane that is perpendicularly to a mirror plane of the cross section of the flexible rack. The two or more steel cords have equal numbers of left and right lay direction steel cords. Detailed embodiments have just two S and Z lay direction steel cords of equal construction. Preferred steel cords comprise filaments with second order helical deformation. The distance between the steel cords influences strongly the bending behaviour of the flexible rack and is between 0.80 to 2.5 times the diameter of the steel cord. In a drive system wherein the rack remains in a single plane the distance between the steel cords can be larger than in a drive system wherein bending out of a single plane is also required. The steel cords can be held together by one or more wraps.
