Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for color-changing and coating many colors of coats without discharging coats by arranging, attachably and detachably, a cartridge for each color of coat on a coating apparatus. SOLUTION: The coating method by the coating apparatus comprises a step for attaching the cartridge for the coat on a housing, a step for providing a coat in the cartridge for the coat to a rotary atomizing head, a step for detaching a used cartridge for the coat from the housing, and a step for attaching the cartridge for washing on the housing to wash a preceding coat adhered to the rotary atomizing head. Therefore, even if color-changing of the coat, a following coat can be coated by merely changing the cartridge for the coat without discharging the preceding coat. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method by which the amount of a coating material to be discarded owing to over spraying can be reduced and the quality of a coating film formed on an object to be coated can be improved. SOLUTION: When coating the vicinity of the edge parts of a large panel 6, a small panel 7, a car body 16, or the like, the coating material is sprayed by changing over the spray pattern of a coating machine 4 to a small pattern S1 while reciprocating the machine 4. When coating the side of a central part, the coating material is sprayed by changing over the spray pattern to a large pattern L1 or a middle pattern M1 which are larger than the pattern S1 while reciprocating the machine 4. As a result, the over spraying can be kept to the minimum also when coating the vicinity of the edge parts of the panels 6, 7, the body 16, or the like, in the same manner as when coating the side of the central part. By keeping the over spraying to the minimum, the quality of the coating film can be made excellent and the amount of the coating material to be sprayed uselessly and discarded can be reduced. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cleaning fluid and to improve the cleaning efficiency by surely washing away a coating material depositing on the bottom or a movable partition wall of a cylinder in a short time. SOLUTION: The bottom face 23A of the cylinder 23 is provided with a recessed groove 38 formed extending in the radial direction from near the axial center position of the cylinder 23 (at the position on the axial line 01-01) to the internal perimeter 23C, and is constituted in such a manner that the opening 31A in the coating material housing chamber side of a cylinder side passage 31 of a coating material passage 29 is opened in the groove bottom 38A of the recessed groove 38. Therefore, the cleaning fluid supplied from a cleaning fluid passage 36 to the cleaning space S smoothly flows into the recessed groove 38, so that while the cleaning fluid flows through the cleaning space, the residual coating material can be washed out by the cleaning fluid of a small amount in a short time. Because the outlet port 36B of the cleaning fluid passage 36 is inclined outward in the radial direction to the internal perimeter 23C of the cylinder 23, the cleaning fluid can be made to flow into a minute annular space S2 to clean.
