Abstract:
An apparatus (10) for automatically opening a swinging restroom door (28) includes an actuator (20) operable with a control unit (22) and a power assisted drive mechanism (24) that can be connected to an existing door closing mechanism. The actuator (20) includes a proximity sensor (40) and a series of iconic symbols (42, 44, 46) corresponding to predetermined proximity zones (80, 82). The door (28) may be opened by an affirmative action of a patron as operation of the door closing mechanism (26) is reversed and the door (28) is automatically opened.

Abstract:
A drive assembly moves a vehicle closure panel from an open to a closed condition. The drive assembly has a housing and a motor mounted on the housing. A drum and gear assembly is rotatably mounted on the housing. The drum and gear assembly has a drum having a helical groove, a gear in driving engagement with the motor, and a spring biasing the drum in a winding direction relative to the gear. The drum and gear have a lost motion connection therebetween. A cable has an end connected to the closure panel and an opposite end connected to the drum about the helical groove in the winding direction. The drum rotates in the winding direction relative to the stationary gear as the closure panel is manually moved from the open to the closed condition with the spring maintaining a cable tension. The drum and gear rotate together in the winding direction upon energizing the motor effecting powered movement of the closure panel to the closed condition. The motor is afterwards energized in an opposite direction counter-rotating the gear relative to the drum back to a start position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a drive device for a door, which comprises a drive motor (9) with a rotor (15, 16, 30) and with a first coil (12), whereby the coil (12) is connected to a power element (19) via connecting lines (17). In addition, a control device (28) and a transmission device for transmitting the rotary motion of the rotor (15, 16, 30) into an opening motion or closing motion of the door are provided. The drive motor (9) also comprises a second coil (13), which is connected to a separate power element (22) via connecting lines (18). This enables an emergency operation (battery) (23) of the drive device to be maintained via the second coil (13) and the separate power element (22).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to automatic door assemblies and swing operators therefor. One aspect of the invention provides a swing door operator that has spring return breakout and from motor driven opening. Another aspect of the invention provides a swing door operator that is non-handed with spring return from either direction. Another aspect of the invention provides a swing door operator in which spring force is transmitted to the operator output member via a cam structure. One aspect of the invention provides a swing door operator that has opening in the housing thereof for easy access to the operator motor. Another aspect of the invention provides a method for servicing a door operator. Another aspect of the invention provides a door operator with a spring force adjusting member that moves in the generally longitudinal direction of the spring structure. Another aspect of the invention provides a method for adjusting the spring force of the spring structure in a door operator. Another aspect of the invention provides a swing door operator with an adjustable stop member.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an automatic door or window system, comprising two wings (1, 2) driven in opposite direction and two fixed lateral wings (1a, 2a). In order to achieve a compact structure, each wing (1, 2) is fitted with a separate drive motor (10) whose driven member acts directly on the rollers (6a) of the roller wagon of the wings. The drive motor (10) is accommodated in the area of the roller wagon in the running rail (3) and is displaced along with the wing (1, 2).
Abstract:
An obstruction detection apparatus is provided for use in closing a power driven vent, such as a window (1035), that is located in an opening (1042). The vent includes a first closing edge that moves as the vent is closed and the opening includes a second closing edge that is contacted by the first closing edge when the vent is in a fully closed position. The apparatus includes a detector (1060) configured to detect an obstruction at all points along the second closing edge without requiring contact between the obstruction and the vent and to deliver a detection signal when an obstruction is detected. A controller is connected to the detector for receiving the detection signal and delivering a corresponding alarm signal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a revolving door drive and a process for operating it fitted with a control and regulating unit containing a microprocessor and a corresponding store. Inside the store there are various programs making it possible to operate the revolving door drive in various modes without having to modify the device. At the same time the revolving door drive learns all the important operating parameters, as do the connected device and the door, in order to predetermine or process the corresponding reference values for the individual programs so that there is no danger whatsoever for the people using such a door. This also includes a force limiter on the door leaf. At the same time, such a revolving door drive can be used in normal operation and also for fire protection without any additional safety sensor systems.
Abstract:
The cabin (23) particularly used to form a cablecar is provided with an opening which may be closed by means of two door leaves (43). The leaves (43) are slindingly mounted along guides (21) pivotingly fixed to the cabin (23) and may, from their closed position, be spaced from each other and pushed outwardly by means of rocking arms (61). Such arrangement enables to provide the outer faces of the leaves (43) in prolongation of the outer faces of adjacent wall portion in closed position and, during their opening, to protrude only a little into the environing space.
Abstract:
A refrigerator and a controlling method thereof are provided. The refrigerator includes a main body including first and second doors, a first motor for opening the first door and a second motor for opening the second door, and a processor configured to, based on a user command for opening the door being obtained, start driving the first motor to open the first door, and after a first time from the time when the first motor has started being driven, start driving the second motor to open the second door.
