PURPOSE: A composition containing Crataegus pinnatifida Bunge extract is provided to improve learning ability and space perception and to treat neurodegenerative diseases. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical compsotiion for preventing and treating neurodegenerative diseases contains Crataegus pinnatifida Bunge extract as an active ingredient. The Crataegus pinnatifida Bunge extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of C1-C4, or mixture solvent thereof. A health food for preventing and treating amnesia and neurodegenerative diseases contains Crataegus pinnatifida Bunge extract as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a fermented soybean pill containing Chinese herbal medicines comprises the following steps: soaking soybeans in extract of Carthamus tinctorius; manufacturing fast-fermented bean paste(cheonggukjang) by fermenting the soybeans soaked in the extract; drying and powdering the cheonggukjang; adding powder of Atractylodis Rhizoma, Lentinus edodes and glycyrrhizae radix in the powder of the cheonggukjang; making the cheonggukjang to a pill shape; and drying the pills.

PURPOSE: An antibacterial composition containing Corydalis turtschaninovii extract having enhanced drug effect is provided to increase dehydrocorydaline content. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing Corydalis turtschaninovii extract with enhanced drug effect comprises: a first step of adding 10-50% of acid solution(w/w%) and dipping for 1 to 30 hours; a second step of dipping Corydalis turtschaninovii at 150-400°C and heating for 0 to 2 hours; and a third step of extracting with water, low alcohol, or mixture solvent at 0°C-100°C for 30 to 90 hours through hot water extract, cooling extract, or ultrasonic wave and concentrating. A composition having antibacterial activity contains Corydalis turtschaninovii extract as an active ingredient. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating dental caries and acne contains 0.1-100 weight% of Corydalis turtschaninovii extract.

CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hyperlipidermia or obesity contains extract of Morus alba L. leaves as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated using water including purified water, low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms or their mixture solvent.

A lotus root snack and a preparing method thereof are provided to improve the texture of a snack and mouth feel as well as preference by dipping horizontally sliced lotuses in a soaking liquid. A method for preparing a lotus root snack comprises the following steps of: washing lotuses and peeling them; slicing them in a horizontal direction; rinsing the sliced lotuses to remove starch from them; steaming the lotuses; soaking the steamed lotuses in a soaking liquid, which consists of 1-50wt% of oligosaccharide, 1-50wt% of honey, 0.2-5wt% of vitamin C, 0.1-0.5wt% of salt, 1-20wt% of undiluted Schizandrae Fructus solution, 0.1-10wt% of mushroom mycelium and water, at 40~60°C for 5-48 hours; separating the lotuses from the soaking liquid; and freeze drying the lotuses.

An extract of Ailanthus altissima is provided to show high polyphenol content, excellent electron donating capability, SOD like activity, nitrite scavenging capability, xanthine oxidase inhibiting capability and tyrosinase inhibiting capability, thereby being usefully used as a pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food such as tablet, capsule or pill for preventing and treating oxidation related diseases. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating oxidation related diseases comprises 0.1-50 wt.% of an extract of Ailanthus altissima as an effective ingredient, wherein the extract is obtained by extracting roots, stems or leaves of the Ailanthus altissima with water, C1-4 alcohol, or a mixture solvent thereof.
