The excitation apparatus (201) is arranged on the device (101) in such a way that the contact region (103) can be excited in order to produce structure-borne sound waves having sound energy, wherein the structure-borne sound waves having the sound energy can be induced into the body (110) by means of the contact surface (301).
Abstract:
Various embodiments provide assemblies for manipulating a user's limb with at least one inflatable member. The assemblies comprise a first pliable planar member and a second pliable planar member overlaid atop at least a portion of the first pliable planar member, such that a two ply configuration is provided. The two ply configuration itself comprises at least a distal and a proximal portion and at least one opening configured to accept at least a portion of the user's limb. The first and second pliable planar members combine to define at least one inflatable member, the inflatable member being at least a portion of at least one of the distal and proximal portions, the inflatable member being configured to be selectively inflatable so as to provide at least one inflation force upon the user's limb, such that the joint in the user's limb is manipulated. Associated methods are also provided.

A skin treatment assembly (200) is further provided comprising a suction machine (100) for applying pressurized air to a patient through applicators (110) connected to corresponding hoses (96, 97) and the support device (10).
Abstract:
A walking assisting device capable of reducing constrained feeling applied to a user, enabling the free swing of the arms of the user in walking, reduced in size, and having excellent usability. The walking assisting device comprises one or more leg links (2L, 2R) to which ground contact members (8, 8) are connected at their lower ends and a load transmission part connected to the upper ends of the leg links (2L, 2R). At least a part of the weight of the user is supported by the leg links (2L, 2R) through the load transmission part. The load transmission part comprises a seating member (1) for the user to sit thereon in a straddled posture. A connection part (3) to which the upper ends of the leg links (2L, 2R) are connected is fitted to the lower surface of the seating member (1). The connection part (3) is formed to have a degree of freedom allowing the longitudinal and lateral swings of the leg links (2L, 2R).
Abstract:
A positioning device, wherein pneumatically telescopable telescoping bodies (23, 24, 146) are disposed on both sides of reciprocatingly movable members (22, 144) in the moving direction, and valve devices (45, 46, 163, 164) for holding the telescoping bodies in any extended state by a valve closing operation are installed on air route devices (32, 37, 148, 149) for supplying air from air supply devices (25, 160) to the telescoping bodies. A massaging machine having the positioning device, wherein the movable members are movably vertically guided by guide members (44, 28, 141) installed on back rest parts (4, 104) of chair main bodies (1, 102), treating elements (16, 130) which project from the surface of the back rest parts and in contact with a human body seated on the chair main bodies are installed on the movable members, and the movable members are moved by the supply and exhaust of air from the air supply devices through the air route devices to the telescoping bodies located on both sides of the movable members in the movable direction so as to adjust the moving position by the valve devices installed on the air route devices.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Systems and methods for robotic and exoskeleton hands are provided. An exoskeleton hand can include a flexible actuator having a cavity and a reinforcement band. The cavity can be filled with a fluid from a pressure source, forcing the actuator to deform, bend or extend. The fluid that fills the cavity as a driving force can be a gas or liquid, which can be recyclable or disposable.
Abstract:
Various implementations include a device for assisting with and controlling stretching of a limb of a patient. The device includes a limb support for receiving the limb, a base, and a coupling that rotatably couples the limb support and the base. The coupling allows the limb support to rotate through various axes of rotation individually, depending on the range of motion expected for the limb. For example, for a device designed for the foot, the coupling allows a foot support to rotate about a first axis, a second axis, and a third axis, wherein the three axes are orthogonal to each other. In other implementations, the device may be designed for other portions of limbs, such as the hand, the forearm, the upper arm, the lower leg, and the upper leg.
Abstract:
An elevation device used in the performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and after resuscitation includes a base and an upper support operably coupled to the base. The upper support is configured to elevate an individual's upper back, shoulders, and head. The elevation device may include a chest compression device operably coupled with the base.
