    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make outputs of a burner rapidly and accurately follow load fluctuation of an engine by performing closed-loop control of the output of the burner on the basis of a function of a temperature generated downstream. CONSTITUTION: Output of an exhaust gas burner 2 for regenerating a particle filter 7 is controlled by using a fuel quantity closed-loop control device 10 to control the fuel from a fuel pump 9. Here, in a closed-loop and a closed-loop output control device 11, an intermediate pressure of an internal combustion engine 3 from an accelerator sensor 15, a speed of the internal combustion engine 3 from a speed sensor 16 and a temperature downstream from the burner in a middle segment 8 from a temperature sensor 17 are inputted as functions based on which the fuel quantity closed-loop control device 10 is controlled. As a consequence, the output of the burner 2 can be controlled to rapidly and accurately follow the load fluctuation of the internal combustion engine 3.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To accelerate combustion reaction by using heat generated in a precombustion chamber to prepare fuel introduced into an afterburning chamber. CONSTITUTION: In a burner 1, a portion of exhaust gas flow is sent into a precombustion chamber 2 and an afterburning chamber 3 by an exhaust gas feed device 10, 10a. Further, a portion of fuel 9a, 9b is fed by a fuel feed device 6 into the precombustion chamber 2 through nozzle holes 8a, 8b of a nozzle 7. Next, due to the combustion in the precombustion chamber 2, at lest a part of the amount of the fuel passes through an opening 14 in a barrier 13 to become a fuel jet 9 fed into the afterburning chamber 3. Here, an auxiliary air feed device 11 is employed to send auxiliary air into the precombustion chamber 2 so as to stabilize the combustion of the exhaust gas. As a consequence, the burner 1 can be attained with a small size since the heat generated from the precombustion chamber 2 is used for the preparation of the fuel jet 9 introduced into the afterburning chamber 3 to accelerate the combustion reaction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce a repair cost and an exchange cost, by a method wherein a support member is removably coupled to a support body for an absorbing body of which a part of the wall of an ignition chamber consists and an ignition device is arranged at the support member. CONSTITUTION: In a vaporizing type burner 1, a support body 4 for an absorbing body 5 is formed in the shape of a pot and provided with a bottom 6. A part of an ignition chamber 9 consists of an outer peripheral part 8 of a support body 4, and the opposite side to the bottom 6 of the support body 4 is closed by a support member 10 for an ignition device 11, and the support member 10 is removably coupled to the support body 4 and a burner chamber 3. A rodform glow plug 12 and a flame monitoring device 16 is mounted as the ignition device 11 on the support member 10. A seal 17 prevents liquid fuel from outflow to the outside through a gap between the burner chamber 3 and the support body 4. This constitution relieves a problem on a seal and exchanges the ignition device and the flame monitoring device regardless of the support body and irrelevantly exchanges the absorbing body and the support body, and reduces repair and maintenance costs.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To simplify manufacture for the connecting device of a required electric wire and simplify and ensure maintenance and handling, by collecting given shaped plugs by being grouped with kinds of heater component and covering the plugs with a tight cap. CONSTITUTION: Wires 4 from the respective components of a heater 1 are sorted into plural goups classified by the character of the wires 4 to mold the plugs 7 at every group. The plugs 7 have different shapes respectively, and are fitted with each other to form a unit 6. A rigid cap 8 including a power source wire 11 has a supplementary shape with the unit 6 to tightly coat the unit 6 of flexible material via a rim 18 and a plug part 17 to form a connection device 3. The gap 8 and the unit 6 are simply joined by one screw 9, and connection becomes simple and correct by the shape of the plug 7, moreover a sub-unit can be possible to change at the time of failure.

A regeneration device 9 containing a burner 10 arranged in an exhaust line 4 is arranged upstream of such a filter unit 1a. A connection pipe 12 is provided extending from a suction system 8 of the engine 5 to an outlet of the compressor 6 of the supercharging device 2. A solenoid valve 13 which is a regulating device is arranged in the midway of the connection pipe 12. In this way, it is possible to introduce the combustion air of which the volume is regulated into a combustion air inlet of the burner 10.

The turning-on device 6 is connected to the various devices 14, 15 of the exhaust gas burner 3, and inputs the output data of the detector 7 to the control device 5. In this way, the turning-on device 6 is activated only if the oxygen content in the exhaust gas has a predetermined high value so as to ensure the ignition of the exhaust gas burner 3.
