Abstract:
본 발명은 무선통신시스템에서 이종망간 핸드오버(Vertical Handover) 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 상기 무선랜과 통신 중 접속가능한 광대역 이동통신망이 존재하는지 확인하는 과정과, 상기 접속가능한 광대역 이동통신망이 존재하는 경우, 상기 광대역 이동통신망으로 링크 연결(Link up)을 수행하는 과정과, 상기 링크가 연결된 광대역 이동통신망과 등록 해제(De-registration)하여 상기 광대역 이동통신망과의 통신 상태를 대기 모드(Idle mode)로 전환하는 과정과, 상기 광대역 이동통신망으로 핸드오버 시, 상기 광대역 이동통신망으로 네트워크 재진입을 수행하는 과정을 포함하여, 단말이 이종망 간에 서비스의 끊김없는 핸드오버를 수행하며, 핸드오버 지연을 줄일 수 있는 이점이 있다. 이종망간 핸드오버, MIH(Media Independent Handover), Media Dependent SAP, 핸드오버 지연, 대기 모드(Idle mode)

본 발명은 미디어 독립 핸드오버를 지원하는 통신시스템에서 인터넷 주소를 할당하기 위한 방법, 장치 및 시스템에 관한 것으로, 미디어 독립 핸드오버((Media Independent Handover: MIH)를 지원하는 통신시스템에서 인터넷 주소를 할당하기 위한 방법에 있어서, MIH 서비스를 통해 이웃 네트워크에 대한 정보를 획득하는 과정과, 상기 이웃 네트워크에 대한 정보를 이용하여 적어도 하나 이상의 NCoA(New Care of Address)를 생성하는 과정과, 상기 생성한 NCoA를 MIH 서비스를 통해 후보 네트워크로 전송하는 과정과, 상기 NCoA에 대해 주소 중복 검사(Duplicate Address Detection: DAD)를 수행하는 과정을 포함하여, IPv6 계층에서 DAD를 수행함으로써 걸리는 지연을 방지하여 끊김없는 핸드오버를 지원할 수 있는 이점이 있다. 이종망, 미디어 독립 핸드오버(Media Independent Handover: MIH), 주소 중복 검사(Duplicate Address Detection: DAD), IPv6, NCoA(New Care of Address).
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for handover between heterogenous networks in a wireless communication system are provided to perform handover between heterogenous networks by using a medium independent handover technique based on a proxy mobile IPv6. It is checked whether candidate target networks which a terminal(200) selects support handover of the terminal in a serving network(210). The terminal selects a target network(220) for handover between heterogeneous networks. The serving network requests handover to the target network between the heterogenous networks of the terminal. If handover is requested in the serving network, the target network obtains a profile of the terminal from a policy storage unit.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for managing a media independent hand-over service are provided to reduce unnecessary transactions and unnecessary power consumption. A process for setting the state information of an MIHF(Media Independent Handover Function) is performed(S410). A process for managing MIH(Media Independent Hand-over) services is performed on the basis of the state information of the set MIHF(S430). In the state information setting process, the state information of the MIHF is set as the first state when the MIHF is initialized or reset. When a peer MIHF is discovered at the first state, the state information of the MIHF is set as the second state information. At the second state, the state information of the MIHF is set as the third state information when the MIHF is registered to the peer MIHF.

An apparatus and a method for decreasing hand-over delay in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to perform vertical hand-over and re-enter a target network when executing the vertical-hand-over, thereby performing the hand-over without disconnecting a service. A process for confirming whether there is a target network includes a process for obtaining neighboring network information from an MIH(Media Independent Handover)(301) and a process for confirming whether there is a target network capable of connecting in the neighboring network information(303). A process for confirming whether there is the target network when networking with a serving network is performed. When there is the target network capable of connecting with the serving network, a link up process toward the target network is performed(307). A de-registration process to the target network is performed, so that the communication state is changed into an idle mode(311). When performing the vertical handover through the target network, the network re-entry process is performed to the target network(317).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An adaptive method of managing a buffer of a communication system and device thereof are provided to compare previously determine queue length critical value and a queue length value of a monitored buffer in every measuring point and control a queue length critical value according to the compared result. CONSTITUTION: A controller(605) determines a logical area including a current queue length among logical areas. If the current queue length is included in a first queue length corresponding to a first logical area exceeding the upper critical value, the controller detects a congestion state of a network. The controller readjusts the first queue length. A transmitter(620) transmits a network mixing state signal expressing the mixing state of the detected network to an upper network node.

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for allocating a cell identifier in self-organizing network are provided to enable a cell identifier allocating apparatus to efficiently allocate PCID(Physical Cell ID). CONSTITUTION: A database(1004) acquires location information of a femto base station. A PCID(Pysical Cell ID) configuring unit(1006) minimize the number of columns in an initial merging table. A control unit(1016) determines whether to optimize cell identifier allocation. A PCID configuration selecting unit(1002) selects a physical cell identifier.
Abstract:
A handover method among multi devices in heterogeneous networks and a system thereof are provided to continuously perform handover to devices belonging to homogenous or heterogeneous networks, thereby enabling a user to use the same communication service through different devices without disconnection. If a handover triggering event is generated, a serving apparatus obtains neighboring network information about at least one PoS through the first PoS(Point of Service)(210). The serving apparatus collects lists about one or more devices usable from one or more adjacent PoSs(220). If a suitable target device is selected, handover is performed from the serving apparatus to a target device(230). If the handover is completed, the serving apparatus releases the first data path(240).
