    Abstract: PURPOSE: A semiconductor light emitting device having a multi-cell array is provided to uniformly spread current by designing an optimal electrode. CONSTITUTION: Light emitting cells are positioned on the upper surface of a substrate. First electrodes and second electrodes (14a,14b) are formed on the light emitting cells respectively. The polarity of the first electrodes is different from the polarity of the second electrodes. The first electrodes and the second electrodes are connected in series by interconnection parts (16). Insulating layers (15) are formed on the surfaces of the light emitting cells.

The method comprises an external interrupt routine and a main routine. The external interrupt routine comprises steps: (A) counting the external interrupt signals; (B) checking that the external interrupt signal flag is 1; (C) discriminating that the external interrupt signal is above a certain level; and (D) setting the external interrupt signal flag by 1. The main routine includes: (a) counting the execution time due to the external interrupt; (b) checking the counted value of the instruction execution counter; and (c) discriminating the frequency of AC power.
