Abstract: An array substrate and a display panel comprising the same are provided to obtain a wide viewing angle of a liquid crystal layer and a high aperture ratio of the display panel, thereby improving the display quality. A display panel comprises an array substrate and a counter substrate. The array substrate includes source lines(DLm,DLm+1) extended in a first direction to define long sides of a pixel region, first and second storage common lines(STLl,STLl+1) extended in a second direction crossing the first direction to define short sides of the pixel region, a gate line(GLn) formed between the storage common lines, and a pixel electrode(PE1) formed in the pixel region to cover the gate lines. The counter substrate is bound to the array substrate to receive a liquid crystal layer. The counter substrate includes a common electrode. A switching element(TFT) is formed in the pixel region. The switching element includes a gate electrode(GE) connected to the gate line. A first storage electrode(STE1) is extended to the pixel region while overlapping the first storage common line, and contacted with the pixel electrode. A second storage electrode(STE2) overlaps the second storage common line adjacent to the first storage common line. The second storage electrode is connected to a drain electrode(DE) of the switching element. The common electrode includes an opening portion corresponding to the first storage common line and the first storage electrode. The opening portion of the common electrode is extended in the first direction within the pixel region.

Abstract: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to expose a portion of a common electrode line, which neighbors on a gate line, to form a vertical field between the common electrode line and a common electrode so as to prevent the generation of texture in display area and improve the transmissivity and the display characteristic of the LCD. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the switching element and applies the pixel voltage to the liquid crystal layer. The common electrode line forms a vertical field with the common electrode and a part of the common electrode line forms auxiliary capacitance with the pixel electrode. The common electrode line includes first and second main lines(131,132) and first, second and third sub-lines(133,134,135).

Abstract: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to form a pixel electrode in a prism shape to prevent an aperture ratio from decreasing and divide the pixel electrode into multiple domains so as to improve the viewing angle of the LCD. An LCD includes a first insulating substrate, thin film transistors and a pixel electrode(160). Abstract: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to improve transmissivity, reduce gray inversion and increase a viewing angle by using a compensation film. An LCD includes an LCD panel, a light source and a compensation film(10). The light source provides light to the LCD panel. The compensation film is formed between the LCD panel and the light source and/or on the face of the LCD panel, which projects light.
