Abstract: An air conditioning system and a program updating method thereof are provided to automatically update a control program during operation of the air conditioning system by using an updated program received from an external computer. An air conditioning system comprises an outdoor unit(10), at least one indoor unit(20) connected to the outdoor unit, a storage part(40), a communication part(50), and a control part(60). The storage part stores a control program for controlling at least one of outdoor unit and indoor unit. The communication part performs communication with an external host. The control part performs the updating of the control program by receiving the updated program required for updating via the communication part, when the updating in the control program is requested from the external host during operation of the control program.
