Abstract: The present invention relates to a purifier for exhaust gas and a method for controlling the purifier for exhaust gas and, more particularly, to a method for controlling the purifier for exhaust gas capable of stably controlling flames, in a flow field in which the change of the flux of exhaust gas is variable, for increasing the temperature of exhaust gas. The present invention provides a purifier for exhaust gas including: a reduction material supplying unit supplying a reduction material extracting foreign material by reacting to foreign material included in the exhaust gas in an internal combustion engine; an air supplying unit supplying air to be mixed with the reduction material supplied from the reduction material supplying unit; a post processing unit filtering the foreign material included in the exhaust gas; a burner heating the exhaust gas and combusting the foreign material filtered by the post processing unit; an engine speed sensor measuring the number of revolution per minute of the inner combustion engine; a sensing unit measuring the temperature of the exhaust gas of the burner and the post processing unit; and a control unit determining the injection quantity from the reduction material supplying unit and the air supplying unit according to a signal received from the sensing unit and the engine speed sensor.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An exhaust gas purifying control apparatus for a vehicle is provided to sense the speed of an engine with a proximity sensor and an infrared sensor, to control the driving of a urea injector according to the condition of an engine, and to control the injection rate of urea about the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas purifying control apparatus for a vehicle comprises an air supply unit(50) and a control unit. The air supply unit supplies the compressed air to a urea injector(30). The engine speed sensor senses the speed of an engine(10). The nitric oxide sensor is installed in a catalyst(20) and senses the amount of contaminant. The injection rate of the urea is computed through the engine condition inputted from the engine speed sensor and the amount of contaminant inputted from the nitric oxide sensor.
