    Abstract: An organic/inorganic composite elecrolyte membrane and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to ensure high hydrogen ion conductivity, mechanical strength and the safety of film by including 2,5-polybenzimidazole(ABPBI) and metal(IV) phosphate. An organic/inorganic composite elecrolyte membrane comprises 2,5-polybenzimidazole and metal phosphate represented by the chemical formula M(IV)(HPO4)2. The metal phosphate is dispersed in the matrix of 2,5-polybenzimidazole. A manufacturing method of the organic/inorganic composite elecrolyte membrane comprises (i) a step for preparing the composite solution of 2,5-polybenzimidazole-metal(IV) phosphate by dissolving 3,4-diamino benzoic acid in a polyphosphoric acid, adding and mixing metal(IV) salt or metal(IV) phosphate; and (ii) a step for manufacturing an electrolyte film by forming a film with the composite solution and processing it with a phosphoric acid.
