Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing an interactive broadcast service are provided to supply the broadcasting service with less cost by realizing the participation type broadcasting of the IPTV base. CONSTITUTION: A participation request receiving unit(210) receives a participation request of the participation type broadcast from a participant terminal. A reservation request receiving unit(220) receives a reservation request about the participation type broadcasting contents from a broadcaster terminal. A service providing unit(240) receives the visual content from the participant terminal. The service providing unit provides the broadcast service with the synthesis of the participation type broadcasting contents and visual contents.
Abstract:
According to a method of reducing power in an optical access network, upon the application of power, an optical network terminal (ONT) operates normally in an activation mode. The ONT then determines whether the requirements for switching from activation mode to power-saving mode are satisfied. If the requirements are satisfied, the ONT transmits a sleep signal to an optical line terminal (OLT), which is a message notifying that the ONT will soon switch to power-saving mode. Thereafter, the ONT switches to power-saving mode and cuts off power for all functions except for power for monitoring and controlling external inputs. The ONT then determines whether the requirements for switching from power-saving mode to activation mode are satisfied. If the requirements are satisfied, the ONT transmits a wake-up signal to the OLT and switches to the activation mode for normal operation.
Abstract:
An automatic power control method for OLT(Optical Line Terminal) in PON(Point-To-Multipoint), and a storage media for performing the same are provided to operate an optical transmitter by selecting an optimal output level according to ODN(Optical Network Unit) structure of an associated PON(Passive Optical Network) and turns off the laser of the optical transmitter when all ONUs are non-operation state, thereby reducing unnecessary power consumption and manufacturing cost. An automatic optical output control method for OLT(Optical Line Terminal) in PON(Point-To-Multipoint) comprises the following steps of: measuring possible permission optical output ranges which can be normally performed on PON(101); selecting an optimal light signal level in the measured possible permission optical output ranges(103); and adjusting an output level of a transmitter by a pre-selected optimal light signal(104). The measuring step includes an ONU(Optical Network Unit) activating step, a step for confirming the number of activated ONU, and a power saving mode performing step.

Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and a method capable of adjusting an upstream band for a corresponding ONU by detecting a quantity of bands occupied by a packet, not an effective user packet, among upstream transmission bands for each target object of allocation of each band in the optical line terminal (OLT) to check whether a queue report is normal and by detecting an ONU, which transmits an abnormal queue report, according to the check. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an OLT of a passive optical network (PON) includes: a frame monitoring unit configured to monitor upstream frame data received for each transmission container (T-CONT); an error detecting unit configured to determine whether a queue report error is generated for each T-CONT according to the monitoring result; and a band allocation controller configured to allocate an upstream band for an ONU, in which the queue report error is generated, separately from a normal ONU.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an optical line terminal registering an optical network terminal including an overlapped serial number. The optical line terminal of the present invention comprises a memory storing serial number information of registered optical network terminals and a control part allocating a preset preliminary identifier to an overlapped optical network terminal and the serial number of the memory when receiving the serial number from the optical network terminals in response to a serial number request.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for updating a terminal software. The method according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: providing software update start information including window size information and software image storage information for a plurality of terminals; receiving first response information from the terminals according to the provision of the software update start information; and providing software update information by the unit of a section for the terminals according to the window size information. Therefore, time for updating a plurality of terminal software items can be reduced.
