    Abstract: PURPOSE: A tracking method of gaze distance is provided to analyze intention of an operator by grasping gaze distance of the operator in 3 dimensions. CONSTITUTION: A tracking method of gaze distance comprises next steps: tracking direction of binocular gaze by using video data of the operator face and infrared light(s100); computing gaze distance of binocular by applying gaze direction information to a triangulation method(s300); checking errors of the computed gaze distance by analyzing frequency transformation(s400); and analyzing intention of the operator through computed gaze distance of both banks produce eyes(s500). A process of extracting the line-of-sight of both banks comprises next steps: extracting pupil center from video data which took a photograph of face of the operator; and extracting gaze direction through infrared illumination reflective spot on cornea by infrared illumination.
