Abstract: PURPOSE: A sudden start-preventing device of a vehicle is provided to prevent the breakages of the vehicle and various goods and a loss of lives and maximize the safety of the vehicle by preventing forward and backward movements and sudden start of the vehicle in starting at a D or R-range. CONSTITUTION: In a vehicle including an inhibitor switch(101), an inhibitor switch connector(102), an ignition switch(105), and a start motor(106), a sudden start-preventing device of the vehicle is composed of a transmission control unit(103) and a start relay(104). The transmission control unit detects a signal of a contact range of the inhibitor switch output through the inhibitor switch connector and outputs a control signal through a terminal of the start relay only in a P or N-range single signal. The start relay keeps a drive standby state to the control signal output from the terminal of the start relay of the transmission control unit and flows electric currents to the start motor in turning on the ignition switch.
