Abstract: 본 발명은 유리섬유 보강 열경화성 복합재료의 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 자동차의 차체 외판용 열경화성 수지 조성물을 종래 핸드 레이업(Hand Lay-Up) 제조공정을 통해 성형하였으나, 균일한 품질의 미확보와 변색의 문제가 있어 이를 배제하고, 대신에 저압 성형 SMC 제조공정을 이용하는 한편, 강도(strength)문제를 개선하기 위해 직조된 유리섬유 보강재를 적용하여 성형함으로써, 성형품의 강성 및 강도를 동시에 향상시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 내열성, 내수성 및 치수 안정성을 더욱 개선시킬 수 있는 유리섬유 보강 열경화성 복합재료의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a plastic tailgate panel assembly for a car is provided to obtain a physical value lighter than steel plate and similar to steel plate by forming an outer panel and an inner panel and joining the contacted edges of the outer and inner panel with an adhesive. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a plastic tailgate panel assembly comprises steps of forming an outer panel(20) and an inner panel(10) by using SMC(Sheet Molding Compound) as a reinforcement and filler and joining the contacted part of the outer and inner panel together with an adhesive. The SMC includes more glass fiber of 2.54 cm of 20¯35 percent and carbonic calcium of 30¯60 percent. The outer and inner panel is formed in a metal mold under 145 plus and minus 5 degrees centigrade and pressure of 50¯70 kgf/cm2 for 2¯6 minutes. A hinge reinforcement(15) of a two-stepped shape is installed at the inner panel and both ends of the hinge reinforcement are adhered to the inner panel. The weight of a tailgate is reduced by using SMC lighter than steel plate and therefore, smooth operation is performed. Moreover, the cost is reduced.
