Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and method for controlling a rear side alarm of a vehicle is provided to decide the existence of other vehicles positioned at a blind spot before changing a lane by using wireless communications and a position information system between vehicles and accordingly to prevent accidents and make drivers notice the position of other vehicle before the change of the lane. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling a rear side alarm of a vehicle is composed of an other vehicle position detecting unit(110) for detecting a coordinate data related to traveling conditions of other vehicles traveling in a set range; a turn signal detecting unit(120) for detecting a turn signal of the vehicle; a control unit(130) for computing a rear side blind spot of the traveling vehicle with a coordinate data input through the other vehicle position detecting unit and generating a warning control signal if the turn signal is detected by the turn signal detecting unit and other vehicle of which the position is detected is positioned at the rear side blind spot; and a warning unit(140) driven by the input of the warning control signal supplied from the control unit to warn dangerous conditions for the rear side blind spot of the vehicle.

CONSTITUTION: A user roughly inputs the title of a desired song through a portable phone using operation buttons(110).
