Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and method for providing traffic information are provided to improve the reliability of traffic information at an intersection by supplying traffic information at each turning direction. CONSTITUTION: A traffic information providing system includes a vehicle information collecting unit(220) and a control unit(210). A vehicle information collecting unit collects vehicle information. The control unit calculates a general link speed, a section speed of each turning direction, and a link speed of each turning direction by using collected vehicle information.
