Abstract: A front body structure of a vehicle is provided to cause a front end carrier module and a front end carrier support to be broken when a slow traveling vehicle is in a collision by installing the front end carrier support between the front end carrier module and an engine room. A front body structure of a vehicle comprises a front end carrier module(10), a body(20), and a front end carrier support(30). The front end carrier module include an upper member(11), a lower member(12), a center member(13), and a side member(14). The body includes a fender apron upper member(21) and a front side member(22). The body forms an engine room. The front end carrier support interconnects the front end carrier module with the body and is designed to be broken when the vehicle is in a collision at a low speed. The front end carrier support includes a front mounting plate(31), a square beam(32), a rear mounting plate(33), a reinforcing plate, a vertical reinforcing member(35), and an upper connection member(36). The front mounting plate is attached to the front end carrier module. The square beam is attached to the front mounting plate. The rear mounting plate is attached to the rear surface of the square beam. The reinforcing plate is located between the rear mounting plate and the front surface of the front side member. The vertical reinforcing member stands on the square beam vertically. The upper connection member is attached to the upper end of the vertical reinforcing member at one end and attached to the front end of the fender apron upper member at the other end. The front end carrier module is made of plastic.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Structure for a front end of a vehicle is provided to absorb impact and protect passengers by increasing deformation of a crush zone more than deformation of a bumper beam with integrally extending the bumper beam in the crush zone, and to increase the productivity by reducing parts, expenses and process. CONSTITUTION: A front end of a vehicle is composed of a front side member(20) supporting the lower end of a vehicle body, and a bumper beam(50) combined with the front of the front side member. The bumper beam is extended in the crush zone of the front side member to relieve collision energy. The bumper beam absorbs shock with deforming first, and the crush zone absorbs impact secondly at a collision. The bumper beam is deformed more than the crush zone at the collision. Thus, passengers are protected.
