Abstract: PURPOSE:To excellently agitate a reactant in the hydrothermal reaction and to increase the reaction rate by hermetically enclosing a small-piece agitating medium in a pressurized reaction vessel, rotating and agitating the vessel. CONSTITUTION:The inner vessel 2 contg. a bottomed inner cylinder 21 charged with distilled water and a reactor is placed in the bottomed outer cylinder 11 of the outer vessel 1. A pressing member 3 is placed on an inner lid 22. The outer lid 12 screwed into a pressing member 4 is screwed into the outer cylinder 11 and bound. The head 42 of the pressing member 4 is rotated clockwise, and its tip 41 is pressed on the pressing member 3. Consequently, the inner lid 22 is pressed vertically on the inner cylinder 21 by the pressing force, the seating face 23 of the inner cylinder 21 is closely attached to the matching face 24 of the inner lid 22, and the inner vessel 2 is liquid-tightly closed. The pressurized reaction vessel 31 thus prepared is horizontally placed on a couple of rotation transmitting rods 10, kept at a constant temp. and rotated. Alumina and quartz are exemplified as the material for the small-piece agitating medium inert to the hydrothermal reaction.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a tubular aluminum silicate inexpensively, safely and in a large quantity, applicable for a fuel storage material, an autonomous humidity control material, a deodorizing material, an organic contaminant adsorbing material or the like. SOLUTION: The objective high purity tubular aluminum silicate is produced by forming a precursor from a solution prepared by mixing an inorganic silicon compound solution having 1-500 mmol concentration with an inorganic aluminum compound solution having 1-1,000 mmol concentration to be a prescribed silicon/ aluminum molar ratio and, after removing coexisting ions to reduce the concentration of the ions in the solution, the aging by heating and recovering and cleaning the formed and deposited solid portion. The tubular aluminum silicate is synthesized more inexpensively, safely and in a large quantity compared to the conventional method.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively produce an antibacterial porous structure by coprecipitating metal ions having antibacterial properties at the time of precipitating a hydroxide by adjusting the hydrogen ion concn. of a metal salt aq. soln. with an alkaline soln. and heat treating the hydroxide gel obtained by agitating the coprecipitated matter in hot water bath. SOLUTION: In the case of producing a moisture regulating material having the function of preventing the propagation of bacteria etc., even under the wet condition in which steam is absorbed, a gal in which the hydroxide is uniformly dispersed is prepared by executing, for example, a treatment such as agitation in a hot water bath after adjusting the aq. soln. to the hydrogen ion concn. at which the hydroxide is precipitated by adding a hydrogen ion concn. adjusting agent the metal salt aq. soln. containing the metal ion having antibacterial properties. The gel is converted to a porous oxide by causing a dehydration reaction by keeping the gel at a prescribed temp. for a prescribed time after drying the gel in a thermostatic bath of 100 deg.C, for example. The porous material is obtained by executing particle size adjustment by mechanical crushing by using, for example, a mortar etc., and by sifting etc., and by executing washing treatment etc., at need after the heat treatment.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the inexpensive production method of the moisture regulating material exhibiting the autonomous moisture regulating function usable over a long period of time. SOLUTION: A porous oxide is produced by precipitating hydroxide by adjusting the hydrogen ion concn. of metallic salt aq. soln. with ammonia aq. soln. etc., and subjecting the hydroxide gel obtained by agitating the hydroxide in a hot water bath to heat treatment. In this way, the moisture regulating function is exhibited by autonomously executing the absorption and emission of steam under the humidity condition of about 50-70% relative humidity. Then the autonomous moisture regulating function repeatedly usable over a long period of time is supplied.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively obtain interior wall material that can prevent dew condensation, secure the comfortable space by controlling the humidity indoor and has antifungal properties by molding and calcining a plastic kaolinite mineral and making it porous by soaking it in an alkali solution. SOLUTION: Kaolinite mineral is adjusted in its particle size, for example, less than 30 mesh, preferably 70 mesh, molded, calcined, peferably at 900-1,100 deg.C for 1-24 hours to effect the phase separation into the alumina phase and the amorphous silica phase, then soaked in an alkali solution of strong alkalinity (for example, KOH solution), for example, at 50-90 deg.C for 12-48 hours thereby selectively dissolving the alkali-soluble components as the amorphous silica and the like to a porous form, washed, dried thereby producing a porous structure body. In another embodiment, a suspension of kaolinite mineral is sprayed to the surface of an unglazed pottery in a suitable shape to form the surface layer of the kaolinite, the calcined in a similar manner and treated with alkali.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous material which has good water resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance and keeps the humidity of living environment optimum in an energy saving manner by absorbing/desorbing water in a living space autonomously. SOLUTION: A humidity conditioning material is composed of a composition of a porous material having an autonomous humidity conditioning function. The composition which is formed using an organic substance having a surfactant or a long chain alkyl group as a casting mold is made from one or more kinds of substances selected from a group consisting of aluminosilicate and transition metal elements. The porous material is prepared by a process in which an organic substance having a surfactant or a long chain alkyl group, after being enclosed with silicon dioxide or transition metal oxide, is polymerized, and the product is burned or extracted to remove the organic substance. The average diameter of the pores is 2-6nm, and the material has an autonomous humidity conditioning function at a relative humidity of 40-70%.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To impart excellent plasticity and durability to an inorganic compound having problems in plasticity and durability as a ceramic raw material by hydrothermal treating an inorganic oxide ceramic raw material with a specific organic compound. CONSTITUTION:A surface modified composition made of the inorganic compound to the surface for which an organic decomposed material is stuck is obtained by hydrothermal treating the inorganic compound and the organic compound, which is decomposable by hydrothermal treating in the presence of the inorganic compound, in a water based atmosphere. An inorganic compound containing oxides of one or more kinds of elements or these hydrates selected from silicon, aluminum, titanium, zirconium, magnesium and the mixture as main structural components is exemplified as the inorganic oxide. As the organic compound, saccharides and these derivatives, amino acids and these derivatives, proteins and hydrophilic synthetic polymers are used.
