Abstract: PURPOSE:To get a bond magnet having high magnetic property and oxidation resistance and being excellent in surface smoothness and dimension stability by combining thermoplastic resin with thermosetting resin as resin ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic material resin composite material is composed of 79.9-99.9wt.% rare earth-iron-nitrogen based magnetic powder, 0.1-20wt.% thermosetting resin, and 0.1-20wt.% thermoplastic resin. Using this magnetic material resin composite material, a a bond magnet is manufactured by compression-molding, extrusion-molding, or injection molding, or the like. Hereby, a magnetic material resin composite material can be gotten, which contains rare earth-iron-nitrogen material small in grain diameter and having high magnetic property and besides has high magnetic field orientation property, corrosion resistance, and oxidation resistance. Furthermore, using these material, a high magnetic property of bond magnet excellent in surface smoothness and dimension stability can be manufactured.

CONSTITUTION:The title magnetic resin composite material is composed of rare earth-iron base nitrogen magnetic powder, in the range of composition showing, ferromagnetism, of 84 to 99.5 wt.%, a lubricant, containing one or two or more kinds selected from fatty acids, amines, fatty acid salts, and fatty acid amides of 0.10 to 5wt.%, a coupling agent, containing at least a kind selected from titanaium and silicon, of 0 to 5wt.% and thermosetting resin, containing one or two or more kinds selected from epoxy resin, epoxy denatured phenol non-saturated polyester resin, of 0.2 to 15wt.%. As a result, excellent magnetic resin composite material, having both magnetic field orientational property and an oxidation-resistant property, can be obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic-material resin composite material whose magnetic characteristic is high, whose surface smoothness, mechanical strength and dimensional stability are excellent and whose molding property and magnetic-field orientation property are excellent by a method wherein the following are contained in specific amounts: a rare earth-iron-nitrogen-based magnetic pulverulent body; a specific coupling agent; a thermoplastic resin; and a lubricant. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic-material resin composite material is constituted of the following: 70 to 95wt.% of a rare earthiron-nitrogen-based pulverulnent body; 0.01 to 5wt.% of a coupling agent which has one kind or two or more kinds of organic chains out of an amino group, an alkyl group, a >=3 C alkoxy group, a >=10 C phenoxy group, a methacrylic group, a sulfonyl group, a mercapto group, an ester bond, a phosphoric ester bond, a pyrophosphoric ester bond, a phosphorus ester bond, a urea bond and an amide bond and which contains at least one kind out of titanium and silicon; 3 to 30wt.% of a thermoplastic resin; and 0 to 5wt.% of a lubricant. The magnetic-material resin composite material is excellent in its molding property and its magnetic characteristic, and it is possible to obtain a bonded magnet whose dimensional stability and surface smoothness are extremely good.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a high-performance magnet by classifying coarse grains into two kinds or more of particle sizes before fine grinding in a process of manufacturing a rare earth-iron-nitrogen permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:First, a high-frequency furnace or the like is used to compose a Re-Fe base alloy with a 5-25 atom% of Re and a 75-95 atom% of Fe, which is coarsely ground by jaw crusher or other means so that the particle diameter is 10-500mum. Next, the coarsely ground material base alloy is impregnated with nitrogen and hydrogen, and this material undergoes classification that features this process. Classification is conducted by combination of several kinds of screens different in mesh: for example, classification of a coarse grain having a particle diameter of 20-100mum into two kinds of particle sizes: 20-60mum and 60-100mum can exhibit its effectiveness. In addition, classification into more grain sizes suffices for enhancement of its effectiveness, and fine grinding after classification requires a particle diameter of 1-10mum by use of a ball mill and others. Thereafter, this material, epoxy resin, and the like are kneaded, oriented in a magnetic field and then hardened into a bond magnet.
