    Abstract: A fiber comprising a propylene ethylene copolymer, said propylene ethylene copolymer having: i) xylene soluble fraction at 25°C ranging from 14 wt% to 27 wt% ii) intrinsic viscosity of the fraction soluble in xylene at 25°C ranging from 1.0 to 2.4 dl/g; 111) melt flow rate, MFR, ranging from 1.0 g/10 min to 50.0 g/10 min; iv) an ethylene derived units content ranging from 5.0 wt% to 12.0 wt% v) the ethylene derived units content on the fraction insoluble in xylene at 25°C ranging from 2.5 wt% to 6.0 wt%; Vl) the ethylene derived units content on the fraction soluble in xylene at 25 °C ranging from 15.2. wt% to 30.2 wt% vii) the C 13 NMR sequences PEP measured on the fraction insoluble in xylene at 25°C ranging from 3.5mol% to 5.5mol% and the C 13 NMR sequences PEP measured on the fraction soluble in xylene at 25 °C ranging from 11.0 mol% to 14.2 mol%.

    Abstract: Fibers comprising a polypropylene obtainable by a process comprising the steps of: (i) polymerizing propylene in the presence of a catalyst system comprising the product obtained by contacting the following components: (a) a solid catalyst component comprising a magnesium halide, a titanium compound having at least a Ti-halogen bond and at least two electron donor compounds one of which being present in an amount from 40 to 90% by mol with respect to the total amount of donors and selected from succinates and the other being selected from 1,3 diethers, (b) an aluminum hydrocarbyl compound, and (c) optionally an external electron donor compound, to obtain a polypropylene precursor having a melt flow rate MFRl; (ii) subjecting the thus-obtained polypropylene precursor to visbreaking to obtain a visbroken polypropylene having a melt flow rate MFR2; (iii) spinning the visbroken polypropylene obtained in the previous step; wherein MFR2 is comprised between from 15 to 40 g/10min, the ratio MFR2/MFR1 is comprised between 8 and 18, both MFRl and MFR2 being measured according to ISO method 1133 (230° C, 2.16 kg).

    Abstract: A polypropylene composition comprising (per cent by weight unless otherwise specified): (a) 65 to 85%, of a crystalline propylene polymer having an amount of isotactic pentads (mmmm), measured by 13C-MNR on the fraction insoluble in xylene at 25° C, higher than 97.0 molar% and a polydispersity index ranging from 3 to 15; (b) 5 to 25%, of an elastomeric copolymer of ethylene and propylene, the copolymer having an amount of recurring units deriving from ethylene ranging from 30 to 70%, preferably 35 to 60%, and being partially soluble in xylene at ambient temperature; the polymer fraction soluble in xylene at ambient temperature having an intrinsic viscosity value ranging from 3 to 10 dl/g; and (c) 5 to 25%, of recycled polyethylene (r-PE) having a melt flow rate (190°C/2.16 Kg) from 0.1 to 10 g/10 min, the whole composition having a value of melt flow rate (ISO 1133 230°C/2.16 kg) ranging from higher than 3.0 g/10min to 15 g/10min, the percentages of (a), (b) and (c) being referred to the sum of (a), (b) and (c).
