    Abstract: O.Z. 0050/40603 An apparatus for exposing photopolymeric printing plates consists of a stand (1) having integral UV fluorescent tubes (7b), an obliquely arranged glass support sheet (4) ¢sic! for supporting the printing plates, the support sheet being equipped with an orthogonal pattern (25, 26) of grooves, connected to vacuum pumps, a matt black cloth (9) arranged between the UV fluorescent tubes and the support sheet, a lid (2) which is pivotable about a pivotal point (6), is connected to the stand and has integral UV fluorescent tubes (7a), the lid being capable of being swivelled upward on the one hand and laid flat on the stand on the other hand, and a means (4) which moves to and fro via toothed racks (5) and is intended for fold-free and bubble-free positioning and simultaneous cleaning of a vacuum film (3), the vacuum film giving a vacuum-tight seal against the support sheet when the printing plate is placed on top.
