Abstract:
Method for producing water-absorbing polymer particles by polymerizing droplets of a monomer solution, the monomer solution containing at least two initiators, one of the initiators being a peroxide other than persulfate, and the molar ratio of peroxide to the other initiator being at least 1 : 8, the water-absorbing polymer particles themselves, and hygienic articles containing these water-absorbing polymer particles.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing polyisobutene by polymerization of isobutene using an inert diluent and a halogenated Lewis acid as the catalyst. Said method is characterized by contacting a liquid mixture of the isobutene and the inert diluent with the catalyst in the gas chamber of a polymerization device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing polymer particles by polymerizing ethylenically unsaturated monomers, wherein discrete drops of an aqueous monomer emulsion are dosed into a surrounding gas phase and the ethylenically unsaturated monomer is dispersed in the discrete drops.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing polymers by dispersion polymerisation. According to said method, the monomer solution is dispersed in a hydrophobic liquid. The invention also relates to the use of polymers for thickening liquids and to a device for producing polymers by dispersion polymerisation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing water-absorbent polymer particles with a higher permeability by polymerising droplets of a monomer solution in a gas phase surrounding the droplets. A water-insoluble inorganic salt is suspended in the monomer solution and the polymer particles have an average particle diameter of at least 150 µm.
