    Abstract: This tyre includes a toroid-shaped carcase 1, a ply interposed about a region at the top of the carcase, a linkage 5 and a reinforcement of the part forming the bead of the tyre, formed by a main bead chafer strip 3 made up of cables formed of aromatic polyamide fibres, and an auxiliary bead chafer strip 4 including at least two external layers of steel cord 4-1, 4-2 and at least two internal layers of steel cord 4-3, 4-4, the auxiliary bead chafer strip 4 having a triangular lattice structure defined by three layers of steel cord out of the four layers, and so that the steel cords of the two outer layers cross over one another with respect to the meridian plane of the tyre and the steel cords of the two internal layers of steel cords cross over one another with respect to the meridian plane. Application particularly to aircraft tyres.

    Abstract: A heavy duty pneumatic radial tire includes a carcass consisting of at least one layer of metal cords substantially radially arranged, a breaker consisting of at least two layers of metal cords to form a main reinforcement with the carcass, and bead portions including hard and soft stiffeners. The carcass has a particular radial profile having a ratio of radii R/R' determined by a radius R' of a standard circle and a radius R determined by a particular definition and has a maximum distance f between an arc of the standard circle and the remaining carcass line smoothly extending from the profile curvature of the shoulder. Moreover a radial profile over a radially inner zone of the sidewall of 20-45% of the radial height SH has a curvature 1/ rho less than 6x10-3 mm-1 at a location 32.5% of the radial height corresponding to a center of the profile.

    Abstract: A heavy duty pneumatic tire comprises a carcass (1) composed of at least one ply (a,b) of radially arranged cords which are arranged at an angle from 90 to 75 DEG with respect to the equatorial plane of the tire, and a belt (2) comprising a first group ( alpha ) of layers composed of cords arranged substantially parallel with said plane and a second group ( beta ) of layers composed of cords arranged at an angle from 15 to 65 DEG with respect to said plane. At least one of the belt layers in the first group has a width at least 1.10 times that of the normal ground contact width (W) of the tread portion, and the belt layers of the second group each have a different inclination direction with respect to the adjacent one of the second group, are each interposed between any combination among the carcass ply, the belt layers of the first group and the other belt layers of the second group, and have a width not greater than the width (W) and the width of the radially innermost and outermost layers of the first group.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve a degree of separation resistance, by setting up an auxilia ry cross belt layer consisting of a specific organic fiber cord between a circum ferential main belt layer, disposing specific cords as specified and a tread, in case of a tire bearing the above caption for a bus or the like. CONSTITUTION:A circumferential belt layer, disposing a high modulus cord being less than 10% in cut expansion and having a modulus of more than 1,000kg/mm to a circumferential direction at an angle of 0 deg.-15 deg. is plurally layered, forming a main belt layer 3. And, an auxiliary cross belt layer 4 composed of more than one layer of a cross belt layer consisting of an organic fiber cord being more than 2% in cur expansion and less than 500kg/mm in the initial modulus is set up between this main belt layer 3 and a tread 2. And, the width should be set to more than 70% of grounding width at the time of normal load internal pressure load, and a cord angle should be set to more than 10 deg. to the tire circumferential direction. With this constitution, separation resistance between the belt layer and the tread is improvable.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make rigid the bead sections of a heavy-duty pneumatic radial tire, and to enhance the durability of the bead sections, by disposing a stiffener composite of two kinds of rubbers between a carcass and the fold-back section of each bear core together with main and sub chaffers. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a toroidal carcass 1 having fold back sections 2 each of which is folded back around each bead core 5 from the inside to outside of the tire. Further a stiffener 6 composed of a hard rubber 6-1 on the side made in contact with the bead core, and a soft rubber 6-2 continuous to the former is disposed between the fold-back section 2 and the carcass 1. Further, a main chaffer 3 formed of aromatic group polyamide fiber cords is disposed extending from a level below the terminal end of the fold-back section 2 to the inside of the carcass 1 along the fold-back section 1. Further, there are provided a plurality of sub chaffers 4 formed of cords having a modulus smaller than that of the main chaffer 3 and extending from a level above the terminal end of the hold-back section 2 to cover this terminal end and the starting end of the main chaffer 3.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To aim at prevention of the occurrence of a standing wave in a shoulder part, etc., by constitution a belt cord ply consisting of an organic fiber with two types of cords different in a twist coefficient each, while setting a ratio of the twist coefficient of each cord to a specified range. CONSTITUTION:A tire is provided with a belt ply consisting of an organic fiber, and at least one of the belt plies is made up of belt cord plies 3 consisting of cords disposed in almost parallel with their circumferential directions, while it has a width of more than 110% or so with grounding width. In this case, the belt cord plies 3 are constituted of the cord embedded in a shoulder part of the tire and more than 0.30 in its twist coefficient and another cord embedded in a grounding surface central zone of the rest and less than 0.60 in its twist coefficient. And, a ratio of the twist coefficient of each of these cords should be set to a range of 1.2-1.8. With this constitution, a standing wave in the shoulder part is prevented from occurring and simultaneously one-sided wear is restrainable.

The carcass ply 5A is equipped with a main body part 6 which is extended in a toroidal shape between both bead parts 4 toward the inside in the tire width direction of the first bead core 2, and a folded part 7 which is continued to the main body 6, folded along the first bead core 2 from the inside in the tire width direction toward the outside, and extended to the outside in the tire width direction passing between the first bead core 2 and the second bead core 3.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the standing wave and improve durability by specifying the sectional area and 100% elongation modulus of a hard rubber stock for a soft rubber stock and specifying each loss tangent of the both rubber stocks. CONSTITUTION:A stiffener 9 rightly over a bead core 3 is constituted of a triangular hard rubber stock 4 which is surrounded by the plies of a carcass 1 and has an oblique side whose bottom side is attached onto a rubber 7 surrounding the bead core 3 and set along the carcass 1, and a triangular soft rubber stock 5 consisting of one side which is positioned outside in the radial direction of the hard rubber stock 4 and is contiguous to the hard rubber stock 4, other side along the radial axis side carcass, and the rest one side along the turn-over part 8 of the carcass 1. In this case, the hard rubber stock 4 is set so as to have the sectional area in 10-70% and the 100% elongation modulus in 3-6 times for those of the soft rubber stock 5, and each loss tangent of the both rubber stocks 4 and 5 is set 0.25 or less, 0.15 or less.
