In such a case, the basic graphic can be added or deleted to and from the set graphic or an attribute can be added or deleted without grouping. Thus, the editing operation of the set graphic consisting of plural basic graphics, especially, the diagram program can be simplified.

When >=2 graphics are designated and inputted, a graphic functioning to secure the logical connection between those designated graphics is retrieved. When the corresponding graphic exists, the graphic is added as a pattern to be edited. Thus it is possible to easily designate selectively only the graphics related to each other in terms of the functions as a group regardless of the positions of the graphics on a drawing.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent such errors as the decision omission or the duplication of the logical attribute of the exclusive output by deciding the logical attribute of the exclusive output of a symbol having the logical attribute in its output. CONSTITUTION:A pin attribute buffer 1-4b holds temporarily the pin attribute of a symbol having the logical attribute in its output at input of this symbol. Then the buffer 1-4b inputs the symbol while checking its contents. In other words, the logical attribute of one of both outputs is decided and therefore the logical attribute of the other output is allocated. Thus the logical attribute of one of both outputs of an 'IF' symbol of a flow chart is inputted to a mouse 1-2, a keyboard chart 1-1, etc., from an input device in the form 'YES'. Thus the logical attribute of the other output is decided as 'NO' and a graphic editing device is not required to perform the input of 'NO'.
