    Abstract: In a sheet transport unit for recording systems which uses a pulse motor (8) to feed a recording sheet (2) quantitatively and intermittently, multiple different current apply intervals are specified within the stop period during intermittent sheet feed, so that a maximum amount of current will be applied to the first interval immediately after the drive stops. Thereby, the pulse motor (8) is never be damaged due to its temperature rise despite a load variation and the load variation can be absorbed enough to ensure high positioning accuracy.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable movement of an original image in the prescribed direction on a recording medium by changing the timing of feed of the medium in accordance with an intention for changing magnification of the original image in the prescribed direction corresponding to the feed direction. CONSTITUTION:When the position of a lens 2 is set to that of an equal size mode, and the speed of an original platen 1 is set to that of a contraction 2 mode, a copied image having a contraction rate same as the contraction 2 mode only in the paper feed direction is obtained. If an image to be obtained by the single variable power mode is copied on a normal-sized recording paper as it is, the copied image localized on one side of the paper. The image can be located on the center of the paper by setting the register timing somewhat earlier. The difference of copying sequence between the contraction 1 mode and contraction 2 mode is in the predetermined time of the register timing. The image can be located on the center of the recording paper by programming the register timing of the contraction 1 mode in place of that of the contraction 2 mode.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the labor for operation and to prevent the malfunction during connection by connecting plural image processors which are independently usable and prohibiting the reception of the input for the operation command from the units except from the specific unit in accordance with the connection signals between the units. CONSTITUTION:A connecting part 1 on a paper discharging side of one device A and the connecting part 2 on a paper feeding side of the other device B are connected. The copying start signal of the copying device A acts as it is as the copying start signal of the copying device B in the 2nd stage and begins to run the main motor of the device B. On the other hand, a paper feed roller 11 is not rotated and is put in the position where it does not contact with recording paper, unlike the device in the 1st stage. The device B in the 2nd stage receives the rising signal from a sensor 8 for detecting the paper discharge from the device A in the 1st stage and starts copying by advancing an optical system. Only the input from the top device A which performs first the copying is permitted as the input for copying operation and all the connected devices are operated by said input for copying operation. The labor for the operation is thus considerably decreased and even if the operator pushes inadvertenly the button in the operating part of the succeeding device, a malfunction is prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To execute a stable resist operation by constituting a titled device so that the resist operation is always executed for a prescribed time irrespective of a variable power mode. CONSTITUTION:This device switches a resist timing in accordance with a variable power mode, and also a resist operation is always executed for a prescribed time irrespective of the variable power mode. Heater control is executed and 185 deg.C is detected, and control of one cycle on and one cycle off of a heater is executed. A check of a feed paper sensor Q2 and an operation of a manual feed paper solenoid SL4 are executed. That is to say, when the feed paper sensor becomes on, whether a manual feed paper plunger has been driven for a prescribed time or not is detected. If it has been driven for a prescribed time, the operation proceeds to the next step, and if not, the subtraction is executed, and thereafter, the manual feed paper solenoid SL4 is turned on, and transfer paper is carried continuously. In this way, a stable resist operation can be executed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To stop adequately each of image processors which are independently usable in the event of abnormality by connecting plural image processors and providing control means which disable all the processors when imperfect connection is detected to each of the units. CONSTITUTION:The connecting condition of a male type connecting part (projecting part) 1 of an image processor (for example, copying device) engaged and connected to the inside of a female type connecting part (recessed part) 2 of the other processor having the similar constitution is investigated with detecting sensors 3, 4 consisting of a pair of push-switches. Whether the swithes 3 and 4 are both on or not is supervised in a sub-routine for diagnosing the connection and copying and whether the mechanical connection is perfect or not is judged. If the connection is imperfect, a copying prohibition signal C11 is transmitted and the processing to stop copying and to display the abnormality in connection is performed, whereafter the monitoring of a detection signal C4 for connection is continued until the connection is made perfect. All of the copying including the copying device in which the abnormality arises and in the stages before said device are stopped in the event of abnormality.
