    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent flawing of the surfaces of connecting terminals at the time of executing a rubbing treatment. CONSTITUTION:Transparent electrodes 2 and the connecting terminals 4 connected via drawing round wires 3 to the respective transparent electrodes are formed atop a lower substrate 1. Next, a conductive paste 6 is formed in the parts of the connecting terminals 4 on the outer side of a sealing material forming region 5. An oriented film 7 is formed over the entire part of the front surface on the inner side of the sealing material forming region 5. Next, this oriented film is subjected to the rubbing treatment. In such a case, the connecting terminals 4 on the outer side of the sealing material forming region 5 are covered with the conductive paste 6 and, therefore, the flawing of the surfaces of the connecting terminals 4 in this part does not arise. The surface of the conductive paste 6 and the surfaces of the connecting terminals 4 and drawing around wires 3 in the sealing material forming region 5 are flawed in some cases but such flawing is insignificant at all.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a thinned electroluminescent element of enhanced light emission efficiency. CONSTITUTION:An electroluminescent element has a transparent conductive film 11 located on the front side, a back electrode 15 located on the back side and a phosphor layer 12 disposed between both electrodes 11, 15, with the phosphor layer 12 made to emit light by application of voltage between both electrodes 11, 15. In the electroluminescent element, the back electrode 15 is formed with no adhesive interposed between the back electrode 15 and the phosphor layer 12. A voltage is therefore applied directly to the phosphor layer 12, preventing lowering of a dielectric constant, i.e., the loss of the applied voltage.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To avoid the positional slip between aperture parts and a conductor layer when the conductor layer is patternformed on an insulating substrate to form an insulating film on the whole surface and then aperture parts are formed in the insulating film on the conductor layer. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, an ultraviolet ray non-transmittable conductor layer 13 is pattern-formed on the surface of an insulating substrate 12 comprising highly ultraviolet ray transmittable resin etc. Next, an ultraviolet ray setting insulating film 14 is formed on the whole surface of the insulating substrate 12 including the conductor layer 13. Next, when the insulating substrate 12 is irradiated with the ultraviolet rays (a) from the rear surface side, the conductor layer 13 fills the role of a photomask after a specific pattern so as to set the insulating film 14 excluding the same formed on the conductor layer 13. Later, when the whole body is developed, the insulating film 14 only formed on the conductor layer 13 can be released thereby enabling the aperture parts to be formed on the released parts.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the cost, enhance the productivity, and obtain a fine pitch by a method wherein a drive element is directly bonded on a wiring lead provided on a heat-resistant insulating film, and a drive signal is selectively applied to the wiring lead by said drive element to heat a heating resistor layer. CONSTITUTION:Each set of a plurality of signal electrodes 14 is arranged so as to surround each of a plurality of IC chips 4 at the right end thereof. A connecting electrode 15 is provided on the right end of a heat resistant insulating film 1 for connecting each of the IC chips 4 to an external circuit. A heating resistor layer 3 made of a conductive ink, such as carbon black, is formed in each gap part 12 of a wiring lead 2 with a thickness larger than that of the wiring lead 2 by printing, roll coating, or the like. In addition, the heating resistor layer 3 is slightly overlapped on the signal electrodes 14 and a common electrode 13 so as to electrically connect the both electrodes. Therefore, an electric current passes through the heating resistor layer 3 when a drive signal is imparted from the IC chip 4 to the signal electrode 14, and the heating resistor layer 3 generates heat by Joule heat.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To use a low-cost material, obtain a superior productivity, and to apply a heating part on recording paper or the like in a simple and positive manner by a method wherein a thermal head substrate is folded out at a position of a heating resistor layer with an insulating protective film disposed outside, and a support body is provided on the folded part to support the thermal head substrate. CONSTITUTION:When an actuation signal is imparted to a drive chip 4 from an external circuit through a connection electrode 16 of a wiring lead 2, a drive signal is outputted from the drive chip 4 to each signal electrode 15 of the wiring lead 2. In this manner, an electric current passes through a heating resistor layer 3, and the heating resistor layer 3 is selectively heated by a Joule heat. This heat is transmitted to a thermal ink sheet through an insulating protective film 5 and melts the ink in the thermal ink sheet corresponding to the heating resistor layer 3 which has been heated. In this manner, the ink in the thermal ink sheet is transferred to recording paper, whereby a thermal recording is conducted. At this time, since the part of the heating resistor layer 3 is positively pressed down against the recording paper through the thermal ink sheet, transfer of the melted ink can be ensured, and a sharp thermal recording can be performed.

Two sides of the trench 31 parallel with the arranging direction of the ejection nozzle 29 are formed as ink standing regions while two sides perpendicular to the arranging direction of the ejection nozzle 29 are formed as ink return regions and a through hole 32 for recovering ink back to the ink channel 24 is made in the ink return region.

SOLUTION: A red filter layer 13 is arranged in a red display part and a green filter layer 14 is arranged in a green display part, a blue/red conversion layer 15 is stacked on the red filter layer 13 and a blue/green conversion layer 16 is stacked on the green filter layer 14 on the back surface of a glass substrate 12. The color filter layer or the color conversion layer is not arranged in a blue display part. A transparent electrode 18 is formed along the specified direction on the front surface of an organic luminescent layer 19 which performs blue luminescence so that a luminescent region corresponds to the display part, and a back electrode 20 is formed on the back surface so as to cross to the transparent electrode 18. By constituting like this, a blue light generated in a luminescent region is converted into red or green light in a color conversion layer, and in the luminescent region where a corresponding color conversion layer is not arranged, a green light is generated as a display light as it is.
