    Abstract: Aqueous pumpable, stable suspensions of a silicate which is insoluble in water and is able to bind calcium ions contain, based on the total weight of the aqueous suspension, a) as silicate able to bind calcium 0.5 to 80 % by weight of a finely divided synthetic compound which contains bound water, is insoluble in water and has the general formula (cat2/nO)x.Me2O3.(SiO2)y (I), where cat is a cation of valency n which can be replaced by calcium, x is a number from 0.7 to 1.5, Me is boron or aluminium and y is a number from 0.8 to 6, and b) as dispersing ingredient 0.5 to 6 % by weight of a mixture of at least two oxo alcohol ethoxylates of the formula II R-(OCH2CH2)n-OH, where R is C10-C15-alkyl with a maximum degree of branching of 25 %, i.e. a maximum of 25 % of the fatty alcohol ethoxylate have a single methyl branch, n = 3 - 5.5 mol of EO in component 1 n = 5.75 - 7 mol of EO in component 2, and can be used to produce detergents and cleaners in powder form.

    Abstract: The adsorbent has a high absorption capacity for liquid to pasty ingredients of detergents and cleaners and has the following components: (a) 60 to 80 per cent by weight of a synthetic sodium silicate which is capable of cation exchange and contains bound water, (b) 0.1 to 8 per cent by weight of sodium silicate of the composition Na2O : SiO2 = 1 : 2 to 1 : 3.5, (c) 3 to 15 per cent by weight of a mixture of two different polyacrylic acids which have a different viscosity number, (d) 8 to 18 per cent by weight of water which can be removed at a drying temperature of 145 DEG C, (e) 0 to 5 per cent by weight of a nonionic surfactant containing polyol ether groups, where the adsorbent has an average particle size of 0.2 to 1.2 mm and the particles with a size of less than 0.05 mm do not comprise more than 2 per cent by weight and the particles with a size of more than 2 mm do not comprise more than 5 per cent by weight, and the bulk density is 400 to 700 g/l.

    Abstract: Aqueous bleaching agent suspensions based on a water-soluble peroxycarboxylic acid suspended in a carrier liquid in the presence of an organic thickening agent and of an acidifying agent exhibit an improved storage resistance over known suspensions with this base. This is achieved by means of pourable to pasty bleaching agent suspensions which contain a xanthan polysaccharide or agar polysaccharide as thickening agent and, in addition, a hydrate-forming neutral salt which desensitizes peroxycarboxylic acids. Preferred suspensions exhibit a pH of 2-5 and contain 10-30% by wt. diperoxydodecanedioic acid, 5-20% by wt. sodium sulfate and 0.1-1.0% by wt. xanthan. The use of non-dried, hydrophilized and optionally in situ desensitized peroxycarboxylic acids is especially preferred. The bleaching agent suspensions are prepared by homogeneously suspending the peroxycarboxylic acid in the thickened carrier liquid. The storage-resistant bleaching agent suspensions are used as laundry bleaching agents and for preparing cleaning agents and disinfection agents.
