Abstract:
A process for the manufacture of pulverizable, thermosetting coating agents comprising mixtures of acrylate resins containing hydroxyl groups and blocked isocyanates. The blocked isocyanates are di- or polyisocyanates blocked with a lactam having about 412 carbon atoms in the ring. The blocked isocyanates have melting points of about 60*-150* C., and are used in an amount of about 0.1-0.9 equivalents of isocyanate groups based on the hydroxyl group content. The process is useful for preparing agents useful in coating compositions.
Abstract:
Acrolein together with acrylic acid as an optional reactant is polymerized in a heated, moving aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution by gradually adding monomers and n-dodecyl mercaptan to the solution. The resultant polymer exhibits improved biological degradability making it especially useful in detergents.
Abstract:
The builder consists of a water-soluble silicate able to bind calcium ions, and of a mixture of two polyacrylic acids which have different viscosity numbers.
Abstract:
A process for improving the processability of a coating composition for paper and paper substitutes in which the composition contains at least one undissolved finely divided inorganic substance, organic substance, or mixture of such substances in a system comprised mainly of water, wherein the process comprises mixing into said system about 0.05 - 5.0 percent by weight of at least one dispersing agent consisting essentially of a polymer derived from specified units containing carboxyl, carboxylate, carbonyl and/or hydroxyl groups. A coating composition is provided.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a molding compound based on a poly-oxymethylene and containing a melamine-formaldehyde polycondensate and an antioxidant, said compound containing 0.001 to 30% by weight, relative to the total weight of the molding compound, of a finely divided, cross-linked, water-insoluble precipitation polycondensate produced from formaldehyde and melamine in a molar ratio between 1.2:1 and 10.0:1.
